Made my phone crawl disappointing was hopeful please bring back the normal cov browser

This app relies entirely on their vpn, which can be turned off in the settings, which defeats the point of setting up restrictions. Previously this app had an in built browser, which meant I could turn off safari, and solely use this. However there has recently been a software app which removes the browser. For me there is no longer a reason for paying for this service when the value to customers is preventing them from visiting websites. They’ve lost my business. I would consider re-subscribing if they can stop me turning off the vpn, which is something that their competitor (Canopy) can do.

After getting the recent update, the app has stopped access to the internet via Wi-Fi. Considering that this is a subscription service, I expect better

Set up was unnecessarily complicated and wasn’t very user friendly. The app seems to be quite buggy as during the set up I was signed out randomly twice. The main problem with this app it isn’t compatible with the in built blocks on the screen time iPhone settings, which are free. As soon as you turn the blocks on, the app disappears? The accountability feature was very appealing to me and my partner but it seems like all you need to do is to switch off the VPN in the settings and the app no longer functions? It’s as simple as flicking a switch and takes 15 seconds. To anyone struggling and wanting a solution I suggest that you use the screen time settings and have your partner or someone else set a passcode on it. One that is random and you cannot guess. That way you can’t simply disable the filter. It’s also not a bad idea to incorrectly put the passcode in deliberately multiple times as it tracks the number of failed attempts. That way if you were to guess the passcode and disable the blocks, it would be evident as the number of failed attempts resets to zero, and your accountability partner would be able to see you have disabled the blocks. This is free and seems to be more robust than this app that costs over £10 a month.

I’ve been a customer for years. I love the app, however I really struggle with internet connection. At home, on Wi-Fi it works fine. But when I go out and my phone switches to data, I lose internet connection or it becomes incredibly slow. If I uninstall CE then my internet connection works fine and is super quick. Seems to defeat the point really, having to uninstall CE so that I can use my phone out and about. This really needs fixing.

There is nothing about this programme that would make me want to persist with it, having failed on my laptop and phone.

It could do with an anti uninstall feature, whereby you request to uninstall and 24 hours later get a code to uninstall and a way that if going through support to diagnose any issue that the feature can be bypassed. That way it will stop the temptation to delete momentarily to feed lusts and desires and put the app back. Based on that, that is why I give 4/5 stars but with that feature I would love to give 10 stars.
