CRADLE White Eye Detector

When I press Search Photos, nothing happens; then the app crashes.

Just downloaded this after reading a story in RD about the developer. I was intrigued so I wanted to check it out. The camera mode appears to work fine, but when I select the option to scan photos, the app crashes, starts scanning then just closes.

Great idea but it doesn’t work at all

I came across this app after hearing of a close friend who’s child was diagnosed with eye cancer. This is a great, free tool for parents to do an at-home test before seeing a specialist.

I tried to contact via app support instead of writing a negative review, but was unable to contact you through that method. I updated to the most recent version, but the “buttons” do not work consistently. As soon as I push “search photos,” everything freezes. I’ve tried closing and restarting the app. I have allowed photo access. I thought y’all should know so it could be addressed. Will change my review once I am actually able to use the app properly. Thank you.

This app is not working on camera !

My daughter was born with a cataract. I knew I had photos of her eye before surgery with a white pupil but wanted to see how the app worked and if it saw the cataract before I did around 2 weeks. This app scanned over 10,000 photos on my phone and the only photo of her it flagged for a white pupil had both of her eyes closed. It had also decided her nostril was an eye. It’s a nice idea but there’s a lot of kinks to work out.

App gives me an error that I haven’t given it permission to access photos. But in Settings on my iPhone, the app isn’t listed so there doesn’t seem to be a way to allow it access.

But the camera won’t even open. Nothing comes on the screen. It simply doesn’t work.

tells me it cant access photos, and to go to Settings to allow it access. when you go to Settings, no setting for an app called either white eye detector or cradle can be found.
