Nice service, but app needs some work
Thank you for a wonderful educational platform!
But some vital improvement:
1) app won't update its pages (namely Saved classes) - even when I switch forth and back, open classes go back. Only shut down and restart of an app makes it update. So you gotta add auto page update on page switch and better add manual update of a current screen by dragging it down for instance.
2) I really want to add reminders to the calendar but, surprisingly, you don't have that option in the app, though you do have it on a website.
3) it would be nice if I could add notes to the classes, for myself, not public.

Total: 1/5 since the app is so suck that I could not really watch the content without any interruption or discontinuation. The video keeps loading and loading. Sometimes, the frame stops and only the sound goes on and on. Even on some episode, I can only watch the video with the sound completely mute. I have check sound and everything, turn out the problem is with the app as well. Just one little concern, if the app could not load video that fast as YouTube or other video app, why don't you let your user download and then watch later? Totally tired of this app. If some other app provides such great content, I am more than happy to leave.
Crashes Constantly
I downloaded this app for my Apple TV. Day one worked fine. Today it crashes within 2 seconds of opening. I’ve restarted my Apple TV maybe 5 time and still can’t get the app to stay open
Fantastic Educational Resource
I have been learning and growing with Creative Live since 2013. It is now 2024, and many of the courses on this platform are still extremely relevant and helpful to me today - all these years later. I hope it continues to be maintained and accessible in the years ahead, as it is packed with many wonderful, high-quality classes and learning paths!!!
I still learn something new, for example, in the posing and lighting classes for photographers. Same for classes pertaining to creative projects, creative inspiration, cultivating creative practices, composition, documentary photography, wedding photography, and family photography. I also still enjoy watching content creation courses, in that they provide inspiration and ideas that are still helpful today despite changes in how SEO works. Classes on craft fairs, communication, vlogging, and other creative topics are are still useful to me.
I am able to play course videos on my iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV app without any issues. I am also able to download the supplemental course materials (ie PDFs) without any problems.
A++++ learning app, in my book.
Great content - Garbage app
Creative Live’s app does not work on iPad:
- Unable to successfully download content for offline viewing
- Sometimes downloaded content “undownloads” itself.
- Sometimes video does not appear, just audio and a black screen
- sometimes subtitles appear multiple times on the same screen.
Seems that since Creative Live was sold to Fiverr they have abandoned this app which has not been updated in three years.
Come on CL, you can do better…
Linking doesn’t work with AppleTV.
Linking doesn’t work with AppleTV. It used to, but now I can’t access my contexnt in the appletv app and joining the devices via the QR code doesn’t work.

Absolutely love this! I have learned so much about audio from some of these courses! My only gripe, for some reason the pause feature only mutes the video and I have to rewind or close to get the sound to come back.
