Cypography

I am loving all the no bull top quality videos, with plenty of variety for everyone. The best thing is the length of videos. I get to choose which video I can watch on limited time, so this is perfect. The new layout is fantastic. Great job 👍👍

Awful

Hard to be able to call Cypography “Netflix of angling” when it doesn’t have a native AppleTV app. Too many issues with ‘casting’ to devices as mentioned by others such as if screen locks, it stops playing etc. I have spoken to several app developers who tell me that it is not difficult or much extra work to produce a dedicated AppleTV app if already have iOS/iPADOS apps already. Would then free up the device ‘casting’ media to another device to be used for other things such as phone calls or emails.

Feel a bit sorry for El and the guys behind this in a way because it could be great, and the hard bit (ie creating good content) has been done. But man, the app, and in particular the horrific casting problems - excuse the pun ha - whereby the films just pause every time your screen fades down and onto the Lock Screen is so f’in annoying it’s a joke. Who can enjoy a film properly having to constantly look at your phone screen and tapping it to “keep it alive” so the video doesn’t stop playing. Urghhh. A lot of people are going to sign up to this, for a month like I have, and not renew simply because of this. There’s a lot of free content available on YouTube which casts seamlessly. It’s nice to have access to exclusive content however and I’ll keep my sub if this is fixed before the end of my month’s “paid trial”, but if not, I won’t be. It’s that big of a deal. Get it sorted guys, please. For everyone’s sake - but mostly yours to be honest!

The content the guys are coming up with is great and you can give a low score for that but the app is pretty bad. The fact you can’t browse in landscape was annoying but now we’ve iPadOS 16 it’s just not really useable unless you handle the device again. It’s not a hard fix.

For some reason the app won’t cast, crashes then won’t open again.

Great content but as other reviews mention, the Airplay feature needs sorting out as it stops playing when your phone locks or you try and do something else at the same time which is a bit of a pain.

I like the app and the content is amazing. However one big big bear, when you cast the content to a tv though AirPlay you cannot turn of the phone screen or use another app while doing so which is extremely frustrating. Doing so will stop the content completely. Instead it should keep playing in the background.

Works better using Safari on my iphone. Takes ages to load and always stops. App needs to be much better

Been trying to get this app to work for nearly 5 days now all I get is a frozen screen
