Virtual queues don’t work and no search feature
The app is better than the website but thank goodness they gave out printed versions of the schedule/panels. Would have loved a search feature to find what might be of interest of the floor. Also what special giveaways there were for Disney+/D23 gold members. Had to find that info online through non-D23 sources. Worst feature by far and super frustrating was the need to use TWO APPS for virtual queues and mobile purchasing and NEITHER processes worked for tablet users. I was up early to try to get in virtual queue for the marketplace but every time I pressed the button to join in the app, it just sent me to the Disneyland web page to download the app (which I already had). Never would it connect straight to the Disneyland app to join the queue. Tried the same thing scanning QR codes on the floor and same result - one iPad and one Fire tablet. Same result on both. Needed to have my friend use her iPhone 11 to get us in a queue. Note that the real issue is the Disneyland app as I tried the same later in Disneyland for mobile ordering and same result - any scanned QR code or QR link on a tablet doesn’t launch the Disneyland app but instead goes the website. But the fact that D23 makes us use the Disneyland app instead of just having it within one app and lack f QA testing means this gets a low score. They were able to figure out this (and many other things) for Star Wars Celebration that D23 apparently went away from for no good reason. Oh yeah thanks to other reviews for reminding me, it kept having me log in and go to my email to get a code over and over and over again despite being told to remember me. Really annoying.
