Absolutely the worst lighting system I’ve ever used! We redid our entire house on 3 floors with Dals and nothing but headaches and resets upon resets and incredibly unreliable network. Thousands of dollars in the garbage.
Downloaded, deleted , and re downloaded this app followed the steps to reset the lights. Nothing works. Thank goodness I got the remote otherwise be a waste of money :(
I appreciate the efforts that went into this app development, but they made it so complex for an average user to navigate. I could only imagine the frustration teaching my elderly father how to schedule turning on a bulb (for both of us!)
La programmation des heures AM et PM n’est plus reconnue depuis la dernière mise à jour… L’ampoule est programmée pour 20:30h et allume à 8:30h le matin à la place…
It’s June and the app hasn’t worked for like 6 mos. Just tried reconnecting my lights again tonight and it still doesn’t work (app cannot find the devices). Supposedly they “fixed” app today but it still nothing.
i don't believe i've ever written a review for an app, but here it is so to preface, I WAS previously able to connect my bulb to the app. when i first got it. the setup felt arbitrary and a bit counterintuitive for a 'smart' home product (requiring you to essentially spam the power button of your lamp). after installing iOS16 however, the app was suddenly removed from my library, requiring me to redownload and attempt to add the bulb back to the device list. after 20 minutes of attempts, there was no sign, even once that it was working. keep in mind that i know what works as i got it connected previously. this app gives no indication as to what is going wrong when your device doesn't pair. not a "Network Name/Password Incorrect" or "Connection Timed out". It doesn't help that the 'pairing mode' is just this obnoxious full bright flashing over and over again. i could see how someone could get a migraine while going through this arduous process. also why no other interpolation options than 'breathe' and 'switch' for different scenes? can't even change the speed at which the light "breathes" through colours? extremely limited and one of the only things going for this app is the google assistant and siri compatibility I am hoping this is just an issue with the current iOS and the developers can fix this.
The app is pretty reliable, stable and solid. However I’m finding odd things like not being able to turn 2 of the smart switch’s 4 buttons into a dimmer (Brightness up, Brightness down). This should be relatively easy to accomplish. For instance, an automation that allows the lights to dim by 10% (or any number) each time the automation is run by touching that button repeatedly, eventually they hit 1% and stop dimming. Same for increasing the brightness. When your wife doesn’t like the app, small touches like this are a big deal and massively extend functionality of the product, without a way to dim without the app and suddenly your product is being out performed but a far cheaper and dimmer recessed light. I will amend my review to reflect changes if they make them. I would love to do that. I hope they can keep enriching the app going forward. If by some chance I’ve missed this ability to program a dimmer (not a set scene) then I stand corrected, but as far as I’m concerned you should be able to set an automation that changes scenes each time the button is pushed and when it gets to the end repeats. I could had tons of scenes to the smart switch making them available to anyone who walks into the house.
I’ve tried activating these light several times, resetting them, moving my router, ensuring 5G was off so the system wasn’t confused… still (at the time of writing this) can’t connect these lights. I have released all the processes over and over… I will try again, but I think they’re coming out and I’ll just go with regular lights.
Easily…is not the first thing that comes to mind, when I think of this app, and or tech…difficult is more appropriate…like an elderly relative that constantly forgets your name (wifi), your age (settings)…anyways, the point should be, antiquated is the selling point! Like early 2000’ tech…nostalgia keeps you around.
