Dashkit - Personal Dashboards

I love the idea of this app. It’s something we really need. However, it doesn’t have nearly enough options and it’s a subscription-based product which I have no interest in. Also, the information that it offers for free so you can see whether it works to your satisfaction or not this is very limited. I would rather have a trial. Like a month or so of full access, so that I could see what I really thought of the product. Instead, we only getting image placement, date, and time, which, by itself, is pretty useless. Finally, there’s not enough customization here by any measure. We should have the ability to choose different fonts, colors of the displayed data, format and alignment of the data, image cropping and position in the display, etc. I want specific aspects of local weather that pertain to my interests and daily life. Temperature, of course, but I also want rain forecast wind speed forecast in my area so I can decide what ill do with my day; biking, sailing, going to the beach, whatever. As it stands, the free version of this app does less than a casual glance at my phone…

I love the way you can structure the dashboard here. Paid for the upgrade to get the calendar but was disappointed by that. What I was hoping for though was a grid view showing event names on each day not just dots, and ideally editable. Tried to web view a google calendar but login wasn’t working…

I use this to display a few pieces of information on an old iPad set to the side of my main Mac monitor. It’s very handy to have this information without cluttering up my mac’s screen.

I have been searching for an App to use as an alternative to the Applehome Kit. I have a PC for my home and at work. I use my Ipad at work to display tasks, events etc using a different app. So finding a way to put my ipad on the shelf when at home to display: time, act a digital photo album, list things like reminders — is the biggest thing for me. All my smart lights etc are connected to Alexa so the applekit becomes less important. The applehome kit overrides everything so I wanted an iPad app instead. There’s a lot of potential with his app as alternative. My complaint right now is that the use of a photo album in this app doesn’t resize the photos for the size of the panel on a page. So instead I up seeing the legs of my friends instead of the entire picture. Seems like that should have been an initial thought out moment for the developers especially when it required PRO subscription.

Has potential. Sort of meh right now. For me, not an essential go to app. Will give it a little time and see…

Great concept but a few years too late I presume. Maybe if they allow a Dashkit widget to design your own widgets, we’d be on to something. But, until then, we wait.

Location for example. I don’t live in a major metropolitan area, so i guess the next closest big city is where i HAVE to say i live. Permissions. No thanks. You don’t need access to my info. Let me set my own reminders. Not giving you access to my info. With a few small changes i might use this. But for now, delete. Use Apple widgets.
