The iPhone's built in microphone is sensitive from 0 to approximately 110 decibels.
Why aren't you getting a 0 decibel reading in a quiet room? A decibel is an actual measurement of sound pressure and aside from a vacuum chamber or out in space 0 dB is not really possible to read. An average quiet room will be in the 40-50 dB range.

тогда какая прога показывает точно, кто в курсе напишите. Для SPL нужно, чтоб не покупать датчик
Ошибка-10
Программа неправильно показывает, в 3 раза завышает показания, вместо 36 показывает стабильно 45дб Куча аналогов показывают правильный уровень
Needs an update
I purchased this app and now it won’t work because the developer needs to update the software. Not cool! Do not purchase.
OK but not great
The major problem, in my experience, is I never got a reading over 99 db. I am mechanical engineer and I have experience in environmental engineering; when you are at 99 and the sound gets louder, you expect the reading to increase.

Not a true read on the decibels.

Easy to see what the sound level in a room.

Convenient to use
Needs a calibration function badly
Seems to be well-designed and responsive, but the scale is WAY off. In a quiet room it's reading 80, and normal conversation bumps it to 120. It needs a calibrate function.
