Desktop Dungeons

To say it's difficult is an understatement. I've read how other people have been able to master it but for me it's impossible. I've read and tried to follow all the tips and tricks but still can't get anywhere. It cost me £10.00 so it's been a waste of money

At first this seemed very poor value for the cost, just a simple tap and move about a dungeon game, even after playing through the first couple of dungeons I was thinking this was disappointing. But then it opens up and you discover this was just the first tutorial and now there is a puzzle mode tutorial to get though. There is a lot more here than it seems, a lot more maps, puzzles, loads of quests. It really grows and gets better. I love it.

The game itself is great however the screen doesn't orient itself meaning I either have to play upside down or take my case off, which is a huge annoyance, you should seriously consider buying this game until this is fixed.

I was just getting into the gameplay before the game froze on me. I tried restarting the app but it made no difference. Now I'm stuck in Kingdom views with no way of continuing. My only option is to start again which I don't want to do. Disappointing!

First of all this is a clumsy port. The interface still shows hotkeys and 'full screen' mode. There's no rotation for the iPad either, which is a minor inconvenience but an inconvenience nonetheless. The game is also prohibitively difficult. Maybe that's an intended feature of 'rogue likes' but I have played plenty of RPGs like this before where progress isn't a combination of banging your head against a brick wall and hoping that you get lucky with the right combination of drops. This does not feel like a £7.99 game - this feels like a shareware demo from a basement coder who will one day go on to make real games. Avoid.

This is a good game but I can't give it 5 stars for a couple of reasons. First, is the screen doesn't orientate which is really annoying if you like to charge your iPad while you play. Second is the price which seems a tad steep for this game. Please patch it so the screen issue is resolved please!!

I don't mind paying for games, in fact I'd prefer it to the IAP's, but I think that this is a little expensive for what it is, with it not being a total iPad experience, as there are leftovers from the PC version -keyboard hotkey letters, and the game not orientating on the screen, which is annoying if your trying to charge the iPad at the same time. Otherwise it's a nice fun game, so maybe an update could fix these little disappointments?

Great humour, vicious goats, lots of replayability ( is that a word?). No internet connection required, so you can play this sat in a car in the supermarket for hours. Not been this engrossed since FTL. Someone may have already said that.

It's a shame there are still leftovers from the PC version. Keyboard shortcuts, full screen mode (irrelevant for iPad) and low resolution fonts and assets. I feel like I'm running in a PC/Mac emulator. That's not good enough for a game this price.
