Since an update to the app on my TV, it doesn’t come on correctly and now is stuck. There is no option to uninstall and reinstall so I’m watching on another device to get the news. This is not the first incident and there is no available help online.
App is good and easy to use. However, it freezes and locks up frequently on my Apple TV. I have to either remove and reinstall the app, or unplug device and let it reboot. The developer needs to fix this issue.
New director tv is terrible.
Not easy to record or control boxes. Crashes a lot.
App randomly logs you out because “password expired”. Does the password last for 1 week? I’m sick and tired of doing this randomly. I’m in the middle of watching game 1 of the nhl finals and it randomly logs me out, then tells me “this service isn’t available currently” when I put in right password. Can I please get a explanation? Reviews are very high but for me it’s been at best half a star out of 5. So bad to the point where I’m considering switching.
Two complaints: 1) The app tells me that an error happens when I try to login, even though my login id and password are correct. 2) The app could probably be more opaque in terms of figuring out how to search for things like local stations, but I’m not sure how since I still have not figured that one out. If I can’t figure these issues out, I’ll be cancelling as so far, it is not worth the aggravation.
Service frequently freezes, quits channel for no reason, sound goes out, unstable guide—lots of “spinning”…
App doesn’t work half the time and sketchy at best when it does work
We switched from dish DirecTV 3 years ago and realized streaming was a new product and would have bugs. But they continue. It has all the features we want and is our primary source of TV watching. But, quite literally, 90% of the time there is some random bug when we turn it on. Usually, in some way, it freezes and we have to reboot AppleTV to get it to work. Sometimes we start it and we have to go through a logon and select a profile, even thought we only have one profile. Sometimes it is frozen and we just hit buttons until it asked to select a profile again, then it works. This has been the situation for many months. And, as the web site suggests, we deleted the app and reloaded. Worked fine the first time and then the whole thing started all over again. A few months after I wrote the review, bugs are worse.
The video player for the recorded videos does not allow to zoom into the video to fill the screen like you can do it on YouTube and other apps
