DS photo

I can connect using windows pc but cannot connect using DS photo app. Waste of time 😱😡

I was offline when I downloaded a .webp file. I was away from home and therefore it never uploaded the webp file via photo backup. Before I got home the was deleted but when I got home the photo backup was stuck looping on the webp file instead of flagging it as an error and continuing with other file uploading. Fix this major bug. Only way to clear bug was to restart all downloading again.

I like the app, but during the update from DSM 6 to 7, I lost all my notes and comments on my Albums (10 years…) plus it stop working on Apple TV. That’s a shame, we cannot share our photos to our friends and family now…

This app is the worst part of synology experience and if I do leave synology this will be why. The backup experience is just plain bad. No option to backup into folders by month or even by year. Also performance of loading folders is bad.

Can’t get it to connect when I’m away from my ds720+. The system randomly shuts down despite setting it to never hibernate. I’m still new to NAS in general, but these random disconnections and a week of shutdowns while setting up are annoying. Not being able to see a full caption field in iOS is frustrating. I don’t want to edit when I tap that field, I’d rather read the caption of the image first. Keywording seems to have moved nicely from Mac OS Extended which is ciritical for archiving images.

I really wish app developers would remove apps that are. I longer supported from the App Store. This app does not work correctly in the new versions of iOS and they plan to replace it with the feature diminished Moments. Hopefully this saves people from downloading this obsolete app.

Photo backup of an iOS 13 iPhone barely works. Appears to only back up some photos when app is in the foreground. Once DS Photos becomes a background app few, if any photos are backed up. So close to being an essential app for Synology NAS users but falls short.

Great app lots of good features but the “Don’t upload Live Photo video” hasn’t worked since Apple introduced Live video. So you guessed it, when backups happen from your device you’ll have both a photo and a video file on your NAS. Old time setting that has never worked. Besides this it’s another decent Synology product. Good company, good products.

I really love my Ds, but just wondering why the app do downsize of my original photo during I am uploading to my Nas? Ppl just need to back up original photo , not compress.... just need the app do a simple function ( copy and paste)... I tried to find out solution on internet for a whole nite, but nth... >_< Also can’t find any setting about original upload in photo station........

Can’t upload pictures via mobile data transfer with the latest release. However it works fine via wifi. Please fix it.
