DyCut- Dynamic Cutting Layouts

This app is very helpful. The only problem is there is no kerf thickness option for blade thickness. Simple example if you type in 1 foot cuts on a 8 foot board it tells you that you can get 8 boards cause it doesn’t calculate blade cut into the equation. When you can only get 7 boards cause a typical saw blade is 1/8” eating up 7/8” of board leaving the last board 11 1/8” long.

I love this app and share it with all my crafty friends. It helps you to get the most out of your papers and gives you a variety of options when available. I use this all the time in my card making. It definitely helps me to save paper when cutting for my card classes. Thanks so much!

I use this app all the time in my workshop and the only missing feature I’d love is the ability to save an image of the proposed cuts for using in my job summaries for my employees. I can take a screenshot but it doesn’t include the measurements and I think would look a lot cleaner if I could save or download the graphic.

This app has made my card making so much easier. I can quickly determine the best number of cuts to get from a piece of cardstock.

I’ve used this a few years. I sew pads and stuff for my disabled family I help care for. It allows me to know the best way to cut them out to save $. I wish I could donate, but I don’t have an income because I care for my family full time. Thank you so much for not being a monthly charge. I can’t afford those.

I put in 12x12 paper (I am a card maker). I want to cut 5.25 x 4 for a layer. When I put in these measurements it gives me 4 pieces, no matter which layout I choose. It SHOULD give me 6! 4 divided into 12 = 3, 5 1/4 x 2 = 10.5 which is less than 12, therefore I SHOULD get 6 pieces from a 12 x 12 paper but it’s telling me ONLY 4! I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times on my iPads. I have an iPad 2 and a Pro, they’re both doing the same thing! My husband’s iPhone however comes up correctly. My Android phone doesn’t offer this app. For right now (until I figure it out) I am giving it a 2!

Optimizes your paper cuts to make the best use out of your whole paper sheet. Love it!

This app is very helpful I cut lumber on a sawmill and a few times it’s gotten me an extra board or two out of my cuts. And for free it’s even better I would recommend this app for anyone looking to optimize their materials when cutting!

Bless you for designing this app! It cuts my work time so much and eases my stress level by not having to do math. ;) I highly recommend for card making, paper crafting, sewing, woodwork and more.
