ECHO: Watch Heart Rate Monitor

I bought this to use with my Nordictrack treadmill, it connects well when you find the connection. The problem is it creates multiple connections in my Bluetooth settings on the machine itself. So I have to play a guessing game of which of the 6 Echo connections it is. Only solve for this is to remove the connections by exiting out of the workout going to settings and clearing devices. There has also been a lag in the connection while using it so the treadmill thinks my heart rate is still low and when the connection catches up the machine has made adjustments and my target heart rate has been smashed and I am 40bpm above where it last registered the minute before. I have contacted both companies about this. 4 stars is being generous for the 60% of the times that I use this and it works right off the bat and does not have me sprinting at full incline when the workout was supposed to be moderate intensity.

Works great for iFIT and loving to just use Apple Watch vs having to get something else

Overall it works great with my Sole elliptical, but with iOS 18.2, it needs to be updated to request permission to use Bluetooth in the background. Now if the phone locks or you switch apps, the signal is lost.

Terrible lack of instructions. Won’t connect to my machine, even though it says it will.

This works great with my echo bike. I’m glad it’s a super affordable option that I can use with my existing equipment. It works much better than some of the others that are out there. Never have issues with it disconnecting randomly.

First, very happy to have a solution to connect heart rate from an Apple Watch to iFIT. I wished there was a direct connection available, but it is what it is. Glad to at least have a solution. For a brief review: the app was easy to set up and the controls are easy to understand. The display on the iPhone and Apple Watch are clear. I’ve only had a few instances (out of 50+ sessions) where it seemed the heart rate data wasn’t transmitting properly to the iFIT equipment. I am fairly convinced it was the Apple Watch. I’ve only noticed this issue when I start a workout with the watch at less than 50% charge. So I now charge before my workout and the problem hasn’t returned. The Bluetooth connectivity seems to be solid. The only complaint here is having to connect manually on the iFIT equipment each time I want to use it app. This is likely an iFIT issue, not this app. The app connects to the watch every time as expected. Honestly, the only gripe I have with the app itself is it calculates calories at a different rate than the iFIT equipment. It calculates about 100-200 calories less per hour. I keep my weight in iFIT and on Health app the same in hopes this is what the algorithm is based on. You cannot directly input weight into the app. So I’m not sure how the calculation is being done. Other than that, I’m happy with the app.

So, the steps I took were: 1. turn on echo on my apple watch 2. press the bluetooth button on my Schwinn 3. turn on bluetooth on my iphone 4. open the echo app Now my heartbeat displays on my Schwinn!
