Great app but what would take it next level is having the ability to add a Ecobee widget to the home screen so I know the temp without having to go to the thermostat or open my phone while working.

Every time I use the app it takes me 5 minutes to figure out how to put the thermostat into away mode. Why can’t there just be a button on the Home Screen? It’s 3 menus deep in the UI. Of course they make it easy to buy more stuff in the app, but not easy to use the stuff you already own.

Often freezes, need to tap exact pixel to manipulate functions, calls for heat when temperature set below house temperature. Worst heating app ever used.

I expect better quality and higher standard from Ecobee

Used to be great with my previous ecobee thermostat. Now, every time you want to adjust the temperature in the house, it warns you that it will turn off eco “smart”, which means it won’t detect when the family leaves the house for the day. You can adjust the temperature from the termostat itself without turning off eco smart, which literally renders the app useless. Never buying ecobee again.

Wifi no longer working on device, support has been too busy to take calls for days. Hoping this channel will get an answer.

Update Please add Alexa integration for the sensors. Apple HomeKit allows you to use the built in motion sensors (in the sensors) to trigger automation yet Alexa does not utilize the motion sensor’s capabilities at all. Please enable this feature so I can create routines using the motion sensors for other tasks. And It’s frustrating that the app is slow to refresh. I’ll open the app and it shows my system is on an running. I switch it to off. Then I have to wait for it to refresh as it still shows ON. Then I realize my system wasn’t actually on at all! And is in away mode. It was showing the status from last time I opened the app. Wow. Please fix this. The app needs to be more responsive. And show accurate system status as soon as I open the app. Maybe it’s related to HomeKit? HomeKit is another mess all together. Get it together Apple!

Purchased a new home and another Ecobee thermostat. Now the app has changed and the old icons are gone. Very awkward to navigate for changes to settings. What are they thinking?

The most recent update has screwed up the app. It no longer recognizes that I have a thermostat and keeps asking to add a device. Now what?

Does not refresh screens when a state change such as door sensor, it only updates screens after launch following forced quit, hardly effective as a security alternative and then there is issue of disarm button having an ineffective highlight
