Element Messenger

The corporate messenger left an extremely unpleasant impression. To begin with, videos sent from the mobile version don't work at all — PNG images with the “play” icon just hang instead, but nothing happens when you try to play them. In the desktop version, the situation is no better: videos don't scroll, you have to watch everything in a row, which is extremely inconvenient. UX/UI is generally a separate story. The interface is extremely inconvenient, everything looks cheap and overloaded, which makes it difficult to use. The desktop version doesn't help either, it slows down, responds with a delay, and looks like it was developed by students in practice. As for optimization, it's just a disaster. The application is slow, freezes frequently, and issues errors. One of the most annoying moments is the voice chat window, which cannot be hidden. It's just disgusting — it's hanging on the screen, interfering with work, and you can't close it, which causes a lot of inconvenience. In general, I am extremely disappointed with this messenger. Using such applications in a corporate environment is a real punishment.

Funciona muy bien en servidores caseros y las videos llamadas son buenas funciona bien de iPhone a iPhone sin configuración del servidor TURN pero para que funcione bien de iPhone a Android tienes que configurar el servidor TURN (PERO ) es muy pobre en configuración de administrador no tiene casi funciones sobre todo para eliminar salas etc, pero en jeneral trabaja muy BIEN

Look this apps Ui is pretty good imo ONCE YOU’RE IN IT. But getting people in it is the hard part. You guys need to self host an “element invite” page because no one wants to explain “join the matrix chat which you can access through element oh btw it’s called matrix because that is the underlying open source protocol element uses”

It’s refreshing to see a privacy-first app. While I wouldn’t recommend using Matrix’s default homeserver due to IP and log collection, the unfortunate reality is that Telegram is compromised now that Pavel is breaking his encryption, WhatsApp was never truly secure, and Signal requires a personal identifier that’s hard to spoof. Element stands out as a solid client and one of few that are left.

It really is a great app, but it would be really nice if it had a search bar for chats/conversations.

The FBI seriously needs to investigate this app and the people who are on it. Pedophiles

Since 18.0.1 iOS it keeps crashing. No response when support requested. No updates yet.
