Great Car Service. Terrible App
Emess cars is the most helpful and reliable car service. They come when they say they’ll come. The drivers are mostly helpful and friendly and the dispatchers do their best to help. It is therefore a shame that they are so let down by the app. When booking a car either for ASAP or later you don’t get any notification that you’ve booked. It just goes to the next screen. There should be a little note saying something along the lines of “thank you for your booking. Booking ref is xxxxxx.” I’ve noticed that when booking a car for later they only place you in the queue at the time for which you have booked. What is the point then of booking in advance? And if they don’t have a car available at that time then you’re stuck. When booking in advance the booking should be accepted and allocated at the time of booking and not at the time for when it was booked. When booking a car for ASAP we should be given an approximate wait time before confirming the booking, especially if it’s a long wait so we can have the opportunity not to complete the booking. Sometimes I get the notification that the car is outside when I’m halfway to my destination. I’m am glad that the app now had a “via” one option so you can make stops on the way. It would be good to have a wait and return option too. Emess is a good service but the app really needs an overhaul.
