Great App!
Does absolutely almost everything I want it to, with the exception of having the ability to store albums in folders. Would love to see this added but despite it, have been enjoying the app!

Great
E2E, no knowledge policy … so just keep doin that I reckon.
Seems like a great alternative
To the other solutions out there, but I’m not personally ready to shell out until I get some more usage out of it. The 1gig cap on the free trial is a bit limiting for getting a handle on the offering, but I get it.
Such an amazing google photos alternative!
I've been testing Ente for a while now and I'm really impressed with how it prioritizes security without sacrificing usability. My photos feel safe with end-to-end encryption, and I can easily access them from any device. If you're looking for a private photo management app, Ente is a strong contender.

Software that is completely open source is so rare, and this is of great significance for security, deserving of praise!
has great promise
as good as google photos is, Google has shown it can't be trusted with user information. ente is young but has the promise to become a good replacement. i hope they continue to follow their principles of data portability and preventing vendor lock-in. i also hope to see some more robust permissions and sharing features for various social situations. the price is steep compared to the alternatives but if it results in a sustainable business that does not require venture capital, then the high price is justified.
Guess I missed the “paid subscription” part…
I was looking for an alternative to the idiotic Apple iCloud move planned for end of July 2023 and saw this recommended on an online post. But once I created an account and verified, I saw the payment screen. Sure, they offer a one-year free trial for 1 GB but I was looking for something more long-term than a year, and as unliked as Apple is, their free offer is 5GB. Just doesn’t make sense.
Outstanding support
Customer service from Ente is nothing short of amazing. The team replies promptly and is always courteous. I had a small issue with the app and they pushed an update in under 10 hours. The issue was completely resolved. I’ve had subscriptions with all the major E2EE storage apps and they don’t come close in any aspect.
There’s no way to sync with camera apps
There’s no way to sync with camera apps. Otherwise the app and service is great, but this is a non starter.
