This app allows you to track absolutely everything! I’d be lost without it!
No more keeping notes on paper! I am still getting used to all of the functions, but if you take the time to learn how this app works, once all of your species info is uploaded, it’s incredible! I love all of the icons and ability to write notes, and documenting molts/feeding/water, etc is effortless! I am trying to figure out how to upload photos. I’ve already taken of my animals, I haven’t figured it out yet, but everything else has been flawless.
I use this for my reptiles and it’s AMAZING! I love the log aspect for food so I can check what my lizards have a preference for, and the ui is very user friendly with a lot of data you can input. I feel like if this app became popular enough it would be revolutionary for breeders/sellers as you can transfer them over to a new owner, while giving them a history of care, vet visits, and diet for that specific pet. This app is everything I have been looking for! :D
(Been using a different app geared towards arachnids for a while. It’s good but prone to errors and wasn’t suiting my needs as well as hoped.) ⭐️THIS APP • Hot Take: Awesome! Lots to like, tons of features, versatile. Definitely recommend it so far. It’s maybe not as flashy as the other one, but it’s more customizable. The options for customization are phenomenal. Navigation of the app makes sense and is fairly intuitive. The core programming seems pretty stable; no apparent errors or troubles loading anything. Lots of suggestions or prompts, and the “Support” feature is easy to find. Plus, there’s a data backup feature to prevent loss of all your stored info. I’ve set up three tarantula slings, two species of roach colonies, and a couple feeder groups so far. Everything was pretty self explanatory. I was able change the date order and switch to a 24-hour clock. And so far, nearly every conceivable piece of data or action I could want to track is trackable. There are even custom data sets that can be added for tracking. This dev seems to have thought of practically everything! It would be nice to be able to add details like what brand or mix was used for substrate (might have missed it if it’s available). Also, maybe a Bio-active check box/toggle or even category could be helpful too. If it were a category, perhaps sections to indicate what types of cleanup crew were used and which varieties: Springtails - temperate, tropical, or arid, and/or Isopods - species/morph, and so on. I currently only have invertebrates so it’s possible that option may be available for other animals. Idk. One last suggestion: Measurements. “True Spiders” are usually measured in body length rather than diagonal toe-to-toe like tarantulas and almost always in millimeters due to their typically small size (regardless of the local unit of measurement). Having an option to change unit of measure based on the animal, rather than a global setting, would be really useful. My Ts will be in inches because I’m in the US, but my “True Spider” should ideally be in millimeters. (Can we all just switch to metric already? Lol Constantly converting back and forth is such a pain.) My only real… Issue? Complaint?… Is that feeding reminders can only occur when the app is running in the background. Not a huge deal and certainly not a “deal breaker.” It’s also not like this app seems like it would bog anything down, but it would be nice if that could be changed in the future. I’m liable
I love this app and it’s really helpful for my snakes because I feed them on alternate weeks, but it never gives me notifications when to feed even though I changed my system settings and the app settings so I should get notifications for each snake every 14 days. It might be something I’m doing wrong, it’s really helpful and that’s the only problem I have.
I would love the app if it actually worked but half the time it doesn’t. When it does I like it but some of the settings I can’t find any option to edit??? Like it says “last fed” and I can’t find a place to add when my pet was last fed. Idk I feel like they need some help streamlining and making this app more user friendly and they REALLY need to fix the glitches
I use this multiple times day for my million jumping spiders. It’s super helpful in remembering molts, when someone last ate, etc! Also love the custom field- I added one to track handling. :) Thank you!!
definitely one of the best apps i’ve used for my reptiles. it’s really neat and easy to access all their info!
My fiancé and I have been expanding our collection, and have been planning on breeding and starting in the pet trade. We still have a small collection at the moment, with 27 tarantulas and 2 snakes, but this app is SO helpful when it comes to keeping track of feedings. Our snakes are on different feeding schedules, so it’s easy to keep track on when to feed and who, and it’s easy to keep track of our tarantulas that are in premolt, and who is freshly molted so we know who to feed, and what to feed (we give hornworms to the newly molted once they’ve hardened up). The only think i don’t like is that sometimes the icons don’t pop up right, and they display as purple/pink squares. No biggie, as I know the layout of the app well, but this could be confusing to someone setting their collection up in the app.
