Faire Wholesale

I have a very successful Etsy shop .. you know I’ve put in the blood sweat and tears to build it what it is today.. I come across Faire thought great let’s have a look yep found some stock we’d like to try .. popped in my order .. Faire then informed me I couldn’t place Order as my shop is on a platform (Etsy) I needed a independent website or bricks and mortar shop with a merchants account for payments … waste of time

As a small business owner I am always looking for new channels, options, products. The overall app, service layer is pretty decent in all honesty and they provide a decent gateway to sellers you may not find otherwise. From my recent experience and doing a lot of research most sellers have over inflated RRPs and products are often just below the market price. By the time you add on postage, a need to commit to minimum orders (which aren’t always possible as I often find I only want one thing from a seller), other costs like import tax etc, or sales tax, you will be very lucky to make money on a lot of these products. My advice. Really do your research, which is sad as busy people we often want a service to enable us to make an informed choice versus adding even more time on to our schedules. So as a wholesale channel I am far from convinced. We have bought a few things now and have often come to the conclusion that we will build our own versions or go direct and cut out Faire.

We’ve been using Faire for a couple of years now. Really appreciate the wide range of quality brands and the fair payment conditions. Perfect for trying out new wholesalers as the minimum order for most is quite low.
