Firefly for Parents

I have been using firefly for roughly two years, usually no problems. Until recently there was a new update and I could no longer get to report my child as absent. This used to be on the dashboard and used to be easy, now I have to log into my computer to report as I no longer see anything in the app with this functionality. Also, the booking area used to take me to the web page to submit bookings with the school, but now it appears to be trying to install a certificate and didn’t work until I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would resolve the issue. I haven’t had this issue with updates before, just a bit frustrating with this last update.

Google SSO appears to be crashing the application unless I can login this app is useless to me.

My children use it for school and I’ve had no problems with it. Very helpful and useful! :)

Most of the previous info is now missing after the update.

One of the worst UIs. Virtually impossible to read any data due to fields not fitting on screen or being truncated .. an app within an app - homepage looks ok.. but when you go deeper you are back in the old view. To the developers.. just build a completely new mobile front end… please. This is like they hooked up an old Pentium PC app to iOS…

Changed the app, now I can’t find anything!

It’s useful but can’t read messages or tasks since the update, I click on them but they aren’t there.

I used to be able to view all letters from firefly app (this is the only useful function on app). Now when you click on messages - it comes up with all letters without title so you’d have to click into each to find out what the letter was about. What’s the point of having a function that’s not useful at all? Search also didn’t work. Disappointing.

Ever since I did the update to iOS 17 I cannot get the app to refresh. Tried deleting and reinstalling but nothing!

Considering children and parents have to rely on this product to connect with their children’s education I’m pretty unhappy at how poor the implementation is. Bugs aside which are regular the general quality is dreadful. The only saving grace is it’s free and not quite as painful as the website. You people need some UX professionals to sort this out!
