Flowly: AR drawing & lettering

This was advertised as a free projector alternative for cookie decorating on the company’s own advertisement. 99% of the features require payment. I have seen more functionality in entirely free apps vs. this one.

I have loved the Flowly app ever since I started using it a couple years ago. It has basically every functionality I need for my cookie decorating “word” needs, except that it cannot flip the text. I use the app with my projector and therefore the image comes out flipped. I would be willing to pay for pro if that were an option, but considering so many lesser designed apps already have this function for free, I don’t use Flowly as much as I would.

This doesn’t really project onto the object you want to write on. So your hand or all shadows makes it difficult to use since the letters are not actually projected onto the surface it’s just in the screen of your cell.

Not easy to use AT ALL! I couldn’t even figure out how to turn it from portrait to landscape.

I’m a sugar cookie novice and I’m not ready to commit to a projector. This app was easy to use and give me the opportunity to practice writing without the huge commitment.

Wish there was a way to bend words to a curved object for writing along the edge of a round cookie or cake.

The app streamlines the decorating process a lot!

The best app for cookie lettering! I’m not good at writing on cookies and this app has been a life saver! It’s so easy to use and comes with a lot of good fonts.
