Flume Water

This app doesn’t seem to learn what the normal flow of the house is. It just keeps alerting me to a leak that doesn’t exist. There is no way to manually train it. For example I’d like to tell it “that is the dishwasher running”. That is the sink. That is the shower. It’s supposed to figure this out on its own by “AI”. If that’s the case my dog is smarter than that AI. I’ll give it a couple weeks, then I’m ripping it out and throwing it away.

Wasted time trying to enroll in this app tonight and repeatedly getting an error message “too many requests - try later”. After one attempt. Waited and tried again. Same thing. You have to start over and enter all your info again each time - about ten fields of information - only to get this error message. Not a good start Flume.

It would have caught leaks if I had configured it “right”. It allows setting a budget without an alert. And when disconnected by a road crew it didn’t show that so I missed another leak. It always seems to be misconfigured and then a leak happens. User error? Yeah, but the UI is a bit clunky.

Wish it would rotate or landscape mode

Really wanted to get this to work, but couldn’t. The onboarding process is terrible. And if you want to start again from scratch you can’t because your hub and sensor were already associated with an account.

The concept is good and would have been a great way to save water if the connectivity between the bridge and sensor did not loose so much communications

Terrific device, app, and customer service!

First the QR codes are bad or printed bad and so small it took a magnifying glass to read and guess was it a 5,6 or 8. No telephone support and texting support:15-:30 between correspondence when they would answer. No printed instructions come with the unit. After spending 4 hours trying to get it to sync or work no luck. Spent another two hours another day. Asked for a phone call, nothing. Lots of chasing information I did not need.

Very poor service

The information provided allowed me to adjust and reduce my water usage to my outside water needs, saving about 40% per week from my previous settings on 40 irrigation valves and 240 sprinkler heads. Easy to install, easy to use phone app, highly recommend if your water bills are high.
