…for configuring and managing legacy parameters of your Foscam caméras and getting direct and online access to events. It is imho not the best solution for nominal operations but is decent. I would rather personally recommend to rely rather on a NAS surveillance of the cameras for that.

Don't buy this. It doesn't work without paying an arm and a leg.

Continuously need to check the timestamp on a live stream to ensure it is still streaming. Loses connections a lot. Even though I configured the cloud marketing opt-out, I still keep getting banners and messages promoting their cloud services, which are expensive as well. I started using Foscam cameras due to possibilities like email snapshots etc, and other ways to save video locally without being forced on a cloud like some competitors. But the quality of the app and the force-fed marketing is starting to get too much, I’m moving to another manufacturer.

An app that is used for security pusposes, should be fast, stable and reliable. This app is none of those. Connecting with the camera is trial and error with long waiting times as a bonus. Since the latest app updates, I hardly get any push messages when movement is detected or it arrives too late. Whereas movement used to be quite accurate, is now seems to alert at random times when nothing is going on.

After just entering my user and paswoord and clicking on login the app crashes, worthless

I’ve had three foscam cameras for many years. All this time, the app wasn’t very performing. Had to refresh the app again and again to view the live feed at another time. Never really liked it as a whole. Also, the app isn’t very intuitive - although updates have been made. The cloud service doesn’t provide any package deal for all your cameras, so if you own more than one it gets really expensive. By times, their promotions are very childish - you have to spin a wheel to get a certain reduction/price. I want a good deal, no casino. They used to have a free 8hrs cloud service, but now that’s gone I’ll go for another brand. Image quality not to great either. Sometimes somebody walks by the camera and doesn’t even get detected although it’s set on highly sensitive.
