Excellent for language learners!!!
Let’s say you want to learn a language by reading a short book. Perhaps this is a language that you know zero words for. With this app, you can paste a chapter of the book, and it will count the frequency each word is used. And so very quickly, you can know which words in the chapter are used the most. These will be the first words of the chapter that I learn. And since I’m using an audiobook that comes with the text, I can play it and just listen for those words that I have learned. Then I will learn a couple of more words that are most frequently used, and listen and follow along in the book again. A book I am reading, which is the first chapter of Genesis of the Bible (German), has about 200 unique words in the first chapter. Und- 49 Die- 26 Es- 21 Er- 16 Gott- 16 By learning 2.5% of the words of the chapter, I have learned 22% of the words used in the chapter just by knowing the frequency of each word used. I would pay money for this app, and I do hope the developer will give us that option!
