Don’t waste your time.
I booked my free call and it went great. After, I paid to upgrade but tried a couple times. It actually charged me 3 times and here I am almost a week later and still can’t get in even though it charged multiple times. I’ve escalated to support but they say they’re behind with a lot of sign ups. Support and customer service not helpful. Technician was super helpful though. Would love to be able to use full app.
App won’t work unless tracking URLs are allowed through. There is no reason that tracking data should block users from using this app. Had to unblock around 5 URLs to get this app to load. They were all data collection/user tracking platforms. It’s unacceptable to build an app in this way, and Frontdoor should immediately implement a solution.
Unable to purchase a subscription. I have the error code that my contact information is not complete, but there seems to be missing fields to provide the detail.
I was super thrilled when AHS was introducing this technical support system to all the contractors. When I asked my operations manager for the quick link to get in touch with the experts, he sent me immediately without any delay, which I liked so much. The technical support specialist had immense knowledge about the product and was very kind enough to walk me through all the process and checked all the procedures before giving me an answer, just waiting for him to give me the part number. Thanks AHS for this amazing support. I really appreciate and look forward to using your support system. It takes out a lot of pressure from the technicians to be more confident & be in ease in their diagnosis in the absence of schematics/wiring diagram and unknown problems. Thanks AHS once again. I rarely give apps a full 5-star rating, but Front Door deserves every single star. This is the first app I genuinely believe merits such high praise. If anyone gives it less than 5 stars, it's definitely user error, not the app itself! Front Door has been a lifesaver for me. Here’s a rundown of everything they’ve helped me with: 1. **Garage Opener Installation**: Seamless process and fantastic support. 2. **Wireless Light Switch**: They made it incredibly easy and walked me through every step. 3. **Drywall Repair**: From advice to execution, they were spot on. 4. **Ring Doorbell Setup**: Not only did they help install the new doorbell, but they also fixed my pre-existing one. 5. **Plumbing Issues**: From toilet troubles to sink dilemmas, they've got it covered. 6. **Jacuzzi Tub Mastery**: They taught me how to operate my jacuzzi tub and clean it out after years of disuse. 7. **Video Playback for Notes**: I can revisit videos for notes anytime. 8. **Project Shopping Lists**: They create detailed shopping lists for all my planned projects. I’ve used this several times, and will definitely use it again. Most recently I needed HVAC help to get heat working in our house. A simple fix without any hardware store runs. Saved my hundred as I would have needed to call for an emergency service with all the associated fees. Before that I had a plumber quote $1400 to install a garbage disposal and faucet in a new kitchen - I already had both items. I needed a P Trap and Studor vent added, so $100 in parts needed. I sent him on his way and opened the Front Door app after I did some research myself. The pro confirmed and clarified a few items I had questions on, and within 2 hours of work, I had the job done having spent only $100 at the hardware store. This is a great resource for the novice DIY homeowner, money well spent!
Online technician was helpful in answering some of my questions professionally. That part was great. Moen Flo installation with Frontdoor, on the other hand, was ridiculous. Short story, Moen want me to answer some very tricky technical questions before scheduling with Frontdoor, they don't know Frontdoor could do video chat to answer those tricky questions. Technician arrival window was 4 hours (like 1-5), and each of them end up 1 hr late. It's no joke staying alert for 5 hrs straight while working from home. We called customer service many times, they weren't very helpful in trying to communicate their expected arrival. 1st technician wasn't successful, Even after another FrontDoor Pro did the pre-check through video chat, this technician said we are still not meeting the requirements and had to purchase something in addition. Not to mention he's one hour late and complained it was too dark. 2nd technician called us at 10 when his expected window was 12-4. I never expected earlier calls, so I waited the whole promised window between 12-4 with no one showed up nor ring the bell, nor trying to explain what was happening. We both called customer service multiple times, they just didn't tell me that he tried to call me or tell him that I called customer service twice asking for update. No voice message, text message nor email about the situation. He ended up being one hour late again and I was really frustrated. Luckily he's responsible and doing the job now.
Just downloaded the app and have already run into a brick wall. For “security reasons”, the app doesn’t allow a hyphen in my email address. Sorry frontdoor but I only use one email address and it’s got a special character. I’m not going to create another email address just to use this app, especially when none of the other apps I use have a problem with my email address. If frontdoor can’t fix a simple login issue, why would I think they’d be able to fix anything around the house?
