This app for all the reasons described by others, unable to stay paired, no capability to power down the unit using the app need to be addressed. It’s been three years since you did an upgrade!! I have to go outside and manually turn off my inverter since this app cannot do it remotely. It defeats the whole purpose of being Bluetooth. You’re gonna create an app make it useful and keep it updated!!! Very disappointed

I have two inverters with two remotes. The always gets confused and crashes. all this with up to date firmware. Feature request: Allow naming the inverters. rembering which serial number goes to which inverter is a pain.

With updated firmware on Bluetooth remote and latest version of this apps, I’ve had no problems whatsoever connecting. Im very pleased with apps’s performance.

Pretty absurd that the Bluetooth control head must be re-paired to your mobile device every time it looses connection. And this has been going on for a very long time without resolution. With that poor of a design, and apparently no concern from Xantrex for a fix, it is unlikely I will by Xantrex again. Too bad, because the app works well when it is connected.

Fix it, you know it needs it !

Just purchased the unit and have been reading all reviews. They’ve updated the firmware to address the Bluetooth issues. Once I updated, everything has worked perfectly.

I have a Xantrex Freedom X 2000 watt inverter in my motorhome. Came with standard remote panel. I am a techno guy and upgraded to the Bluetooth remote panel. I like the information it displays and the remote Bluetooth capability. However, the Bluetooth Does not automatically start up after app is closed. Very inconvenient. You must repair the device when you open the app. I contacted Xantrex customer service and I am not at all happy with the response. They advised me it was designed that way to save the battery. they shut off the Bluetooth every time the app shuts off. This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars

Update for version 1.0.8: Pairing remains when the iOS device is within range of the remote, however, if the iOS device goes out of range of the Xantrex remote, pairing must be initiated at the remote again after opening the Xantrex app. I don’t have this problem with my Victron Bluetooth devices. Original review: The app makes it much more easy to set up the inverter, but for routine monitoring of power usage, the app does not automatically reconnect to the remote and pairing needs to be done every single time. This needs to be fixed.

I bought this hoping that it would enable me to turn on and off my inverter remotely. But it doesn’t. I guess that was an unrealistic expectation on my part. It does offer some pretty useful information and configuring the inverter via the app is 100x better than doing it through the normal Remote. But also the fact that it won’t stay paired with your mobile device is absolutely insane. You have to go to the remote and re-enable the pairing mode before it will connect again. Most people that would want to have this Bluetooth feature or people that don’t want it to have to install the remote up inside their RV or something like that. Often you would end up putting this remote right next to the inverter but with this set up you still have to go to the remote to get anything to work on your app. that is more than an oversight, This is flat out a design flaw.

Having to pair it over and over again is the only real issue. Only device in my coach or in my home that acts like this.
