Garmin Motorize

Huge thanks to Garmin Support for their help in getting this to work reliably with my 2023 Yamaha TMAX Tech Max! When using a newer and larger smartphone like the Apple 14 Pro, you might find that navigation and other functions keep disconnecting after about 30 seconds when using a cable to connect your phone to the TMAX. If you use wireless mirroring there is no problem. Garmin advised that if you add a small USB hub in between the TMAX USB port and your phone then the connection will not drop out and it works! The phone also charges which is great 😊 I hope that Yamaha are aware of this issue and provide a proper fix for their TMAX customers please 🙏

Update: After properly testing it past few weeks it’s a disaster and completely unusable. It will crash after max 30min of use and then every 30 seconds. It’s a massive headache to get started having to manually start the app and accept terms then plug it in sequence then start other apps and run in background 24/7 it’s just a nightmare and I’ll have to try get subscription refunded it’s just that bad. Trying to plan a route of just 3 stops forget it ! UX is horribly bad from the 90s and just broken in almost every way. It’s the only app that can be used with the TMax so I feel a few law suits coming their way for such a premium product Yamaha absolutely dropped the ball on this one there is really nothing that works every feature is broken every workaround is broke can’t see them fixing this Garmin also has a poor track record and virtually no customer service. Hope this review can help someone Overall it worked pretty well on my TMax setup with fairly straightforward however I cannot get it to work on wifi only seems like a bug so have to plug it in. Main issue is entering your destination is clumsy to downright horrible, nearly impossible while on the bike which is kind of the point! Can’t recognise any place names have to google the address first then enter it in by street number then suburb etc what a mess. A bug I found already is if you go into set your destination then go out and come back a second time you loose all the options only way to enter an address is to take phone out unplug kill the app restart and then it works. Atleast while navigating it did work fairly well, most things on this and the new TMax is somewhat rushed I can understand so I just hope they keep releasing updates and listen to us as it’s an expensive machine and app.

Macchinoso e poco funzionale, quando non si scollega. Penso di non rinnovare l’abbonamento. Potrebbe sicuramente funzionare meglio

Ho aspettato 2 anni per provarla sul tmax nella speranza che venisse migliorata….attesa inutile è scandalosa…continue disconnessioni, obbliga ad avere sempre lo schermo attivo e ogni funzione che si prova ad impostare tramite i comandi dello scooter provoca la disconnessione…..unica nota positiva sono i 30 giorni gratuiti di prova Dopo questa mia recensione mi arriva la mail dello “sviluppatore” in cui mi consiglia di aprire il loro link! ….spero di trovare qualche magica soluzione al problema della disconnessione continua…invece no..non è altro che una guida per effettuare il primo accoppiamento….ora mi chiedo…ma se lamento la continua disconnessione (come la maggior parte di chi ha provato ad utilizzarla) è naturale che abbia fatto il primo accoppiamento…..quindi a che mi serve una guida?

Si impalla, non funziona, si disconnette durante la guida ed è impossibile riconnettersi. La connettività sicuramente è un problema del tmax, fate qualcosa aggiornate il firmware perché così state rubando soldi ai clienti che hanno già speso ingenti somme di denaro per acquistare la moto. Applicazioni gratuite per il cellulare funzionano mille volte meglio di questa

L’impostazione percorso molto macchinoso non è diretto devi perdere tempo e non sempre si riesce a programmare chiedo se esiste un modo semplice e diretto, chiedo menù principale e sotto menù senza divagare. In attesa di un nuovo aggiornamento molto più interessante e funzionale visto che si paga un abbonamento? Durante questo periodo di circa 2 anni che leggo recensioni ho riscontrato la non volontà di fare funzionare l’App, se non riuscite a farla funzionare per lo meno ridate i soldi dell’abbonamento che ho pagato. Un’altra domanda : la strumentazione a bordo degli aerei penso che sia garmin se non sbaglio, confermate? In attesa di una risoluzione a breve saluti e speriamo in un aggiornamento risolutivo.

Come è possibile k Yamaha si affidi a questa app per gestire in modo discutibile il suo navigatore… PERCHÉ NON FUNZIONA, collegamenti random e instabili, programmazione da app macchinosa, non trova vie e luoghi! Se contiamo che è a pagamento con abbonamento annuale, direi che vale 1*. Da non SCARICARE ASSOLUTAMENTE…
