The attention to detail that went into developing this ballistic app in a way that is user-friendly and incorporates all of the features that any long distance shooter would want is a testament to its utility. All of the physics are accounted for and the latest BC correction functionality is icing on the cake. Well done team Vortex.

Update: 12/29/24 App still crashes on launch, iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 18.2. Very disappointed, this app is still highly recommended by friends of mine but after a year I still can’t use it. Original review, 12/2023, Really would like to use this app but it crashes at launch every time. iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 17.1.1

When I save a range card I can pull it back up from folder needs more instructions on how to use app

Love me some GB. Maybe a couple things that could make it outshine other apps and programs: 1. Make the map section downloadable with what you currently see on the screen so you can plot target and distances in the form of slides you can scroll thru. 2. Make an apple watch version that you can send your daily dope to a watch. This would allow you to have a current dope card that you can update as weather conditions change throughout the day.

My solution seemsstuck at 5.9” high at 100 yqrds. I set poi,poa @ 0, but it stubbornly sticks woith 5.9” zero. Seems this app is not designed for what i want, ie, zeroed at 100 yards. Thats all i wan

For whatever reason setting up wind makes no sense. No matter the direction the wind I put and if I set the wind speed to 0.0 mph, it gives me ridiculous wind holds. For example if I set 0.0 mph wind speed for 308 175gr, it tells me L 14.0 MRAD in adjustment!

I enjoy the app. I do wish that rifle information that doesn’t change (sight height, barrel twist) could be saved as a “rifle” and combined with the ammo independently. It would make things a bit more flexible and easier to enter rather than going back to remember the exact measurements. Otherwise pretty good!

I fought it for a while, but in the end it just does everything right and its simple to use. I had it down to this, lapua, and ballistics ae. My primary problems w lapua is it cant seem to get wind info from us stations and it has no detailed chart. Ballistic ae has settings all over the place that dont stay set, so youll get some goofy answer that i check with this and find that wind vector is off because it has no setting for which way you are pointing. Ya fix it and it matches this. I do like that i can display inches in the chart and import my bdc reticle to figure out Kentucky windage for it and i can group analyze shoots. But at the end of the day im just gonna forget to fill some variable out every time i use it and end up out in the weeds. This is perfect. Ya set things up and they stay setup, then i tap weather and get all the data for my ranges location ( not mine) and tap chart and see if its a good day to zero my riffle. I like how the settings just save when ya leave and the chart updates in the background before ya get back to it. Lets me flip of and on spin coriolus and jump and see how many moa that accounts for. I primarily like how it updates everything with a click sensors and weather station data. Thats really all that changes for me. Im guessing at range, muzzle velocity, and wind. This makes me a better guesser :) Honorable mention to lapua for making a complex calculator easy to use And honorable mention to ballistic ae for having a collection of tools to do anything But in the end, theres just too many things you can overlook in those and whenever i had something wrong, i fixed it with this and brought the answers inline. I like using this (its easy) and it produces good numbers. GeoBallistics is a winner!!!
