I love this app and has been a staple of my texting with people. BUT the addition of the ads, half the time it locks the app up, and them being so long just to copy the gif, keeps me from using it now. Sad to say goodbye. Off to find a new one.
It doesn’t look like Developer DID respond to your concern, and that among thousands. The old GIPHY was great, the new GIPHY will NOT be part of my Apps…WHY bog it with political questions, add concerns that you want more private information than I would give, access to stuff you have no business or right to UNLESS you wanted to cause trouble or have power to “step in” somehow, “oversee” something of mine, like WHAT?! It’s time you ALL get your cues from us, The People, NOT the other way around. Too bad, old GIPHY R.I.P.🏴☠️
Just fyi Apple has taken giphy off my phone like 4 times now in the last 2 months. Not sure but very weird considering I use it a lot. I refuse to use images because giphy is better!!
I don’t know who writes the logic for what pulls on searches but they should be fired. Every time I search for something off what would be a normal phrase the strangest results pop up that are not even within the same universe of what I searched. Also, what’s with getting 50 of the same gif in a row? If I wasn’t going to pick it the first time I won’t want to on option 50.
I don’t know why people are giving it 1 star it does what it needs to do send memes
Making me watch a long ad to copy a gif now? Pfft, I can do it faster by googling. I’m dropping this app like a bad habit.
Honestly the addition of adds has ruined this app. I’ll be in a conversation and go to respond to with a GIF and get stuck watching a 30 second unskippable ad. The worst part is the ads are not always appropriate. I was in the gym and got stuck with a 30 second bra ad. After that, I decided to remove the app.

it's good enough for me
App owners have become greedy and the app is one big ad trap where you can’t do anything until you view an ad for 30 seconds. I’m deleting and finding a new gif app
