GSO Collects

Great app to get reminders from. Never miss a trash, recycle, or yard waste. Also explains how to get rid of e-waste and pollutants.

First off let me say that up until this last design change the GSO collects app was probably the most reliable app on my phone when it came to notifications. Now in the current version of the app, even though I have notifications on set for 12 hours in advance of the weekly garbage collection, it won’t notify me at all. Not to mention I can no longer set a truly custom reminder, because I used to have the notification set earlier in the day, so it’d at least be in my mind. If you care anything about the citizens of Greensboro using this app you need to at least make sure the basic functions of this app are working, instead of adding games and trivia.

Recyclables and large items along with yard waste and regular trash should be weekly. There is far more Recyclables than regular trash if done correctly.

One of my favorite apps. So useful. The recent update is great, but I DO NOT LIKE the new version of notifications. Took something that worked great and was useful and made it the opposite. Can no longer set the notifications to my schedule have to use presets which are not useful at all. 12 hours is too late (after dark the night before) and 24 hours? I don’t even see the notification.

Whoever resigned the calendar…please reconsider. The app used to be way more user friendly and you could at a glance easily figure out the calendar. Now it’s just colored dots on a dated looking calendar. It feels and looks like an app from 5-10 years ago. It’s not as easy to navigate and there’s too much nonsense on the Home Screen. Please change the calendar!

I find it valuable to be able to quickly look up the info I need. I’ve also been pleased with how quickly the City responds to my questions when I’ve used this app to contact them.

The old interface was better

I can’t locate my address on the app! Is anyone else having issues!
