Guitar Gravitas: Total ed.

Thoroughly simplistic, I love it!

This app is great for learning music theory and how to play guitar. It has all the chords, scales, arpeggios (including with alternate tunings) you’ll need as a beginner to intermediate player. It also has video lesson that explain techniques as well as the theory. Metronome works great, and it will keep playing in the background so you can look at scales etc. while using the metronome. The only downfall is the tuner. I found that compared to other tuning apps the performance was finicky and unreliable. I would not get this if the tuning function is your reason for purchasing the app, although if I’m being honest you’re best to just skip past any tuning apps and get real tuner. I strongly recommend if you have an electric guitar, buy a chromatic tuning pedal and learn to use that. The donner dt1 pedal works great and is cheap. Snark St-2 clip on tuners are a good beginner option for acoustic. Other than that, this app has everything you need in one place to learn and expand your guitar playing. Totally worth the money

The program works well in terms of running and not crashing and showing you the information that it says it will. However, it has some functionality issues that I find annoying: 1. The fretboard has a maximum size and is not scaleable. It would be nice to see a larger fretboard 2. It would be nice to be able hide the tablature and make the window smaller. It uses valueble screen real estate 3) Everytime you switch between scales you get a single "box" and have to select the full scale mode by clicking to see the entire scale. I find this is disruptive when trying to compare/learn scales. I found a website that provides better functionality and is free so after paying for this im not using it. Talked to tech support but didn't feel that went anywhere.

I was surprised by the training videos - very good information in these and well paced. I'd suggest some games or flash cards be added to improve with memorization of the fret board, etc, but I have other apps for that.

Guitar Gravitas is one of the best, most useful guitar apps I've ever seen, and at a very reasonable price.

I’m finding this app to be very helpful when I grab my acoustic and learn new songs.

I like this app because its support lefty players, also is very eazy to find chord or scale that you need.

This a a great app for guitarists. I love the scales capability. It would be nice if you were able to print the scales fingering. It would alaso be nice if you can input your own custom scales.

Lots of capability here. Just got started. I’ve been playing for years. Wish I had this years ago.

Your app is okay but not better than your free version. Step it up and give the customer what we paid for.
