Hakuba Demand Taxi

You need either a Japanese SIM with an active mobile number, or your local SIM with expensive roaming turned on. Otherwise you’re out of luck.

Very convenient for getting around Hakuba at night. It can be used with non-Japanese phone numbers, just update the international dialling code when you sign up. App is very easy to use.

Keep in mind an active sim is required to set up an account with security verification and data access is needed to use the app. Great point to point on demand taxi service from set pick up locations throughout Hakuba, longest wait time 15mins. Other reviews stating Japanese sim required, +61 number was accepted for me.

I’d like to use this service but a Japanese mobile is required to register - which I don’t have unfortunately. ☹️

Great idea of an app although does not accept my Australian phone number starting with +61

Really excited to use this app but it won’t accept my Australian mobile number so I can’t register.
