I have drank Harney + Sons tea for a while now, and I have a whole collection. Their tins are beautiful, their tea is tasty, and they’re great people! I have yet to find a better tea brand.

The wishlist doesn’t show in the app. But it does if I log in online. Please fix this.
It worked at first but for some reason I can no longer log in and order. Deleted the app.
The pictures are professional looking and accurate. But that doesn’t make it a good app. I have been buying tea from Harney for ten years. The app and website remembers my name and email address. They wouldn’t want to miss sending an advertisement, but as for my billing and shipping address, forget it—and it hasn’t changed for 10 years! My phone number? Tired of entering it repeatedly. They dropped Apple Pay and there is no easy way to pay with your fingerprint or Face ID. Go hunt up your credit card, again. And their search engine is not at all user friendly. Click on a specific tea to learn about it, and when you return to the category of tea you are searching the app starts you all over at the beginning. Note: there are currently 184 types of black tea available. Try scrolling through that list multiple times and see how you like it.
Each time I try to use this app, I get stuck in one screen or another and can’t get out of it. Today as I was trying to check out I got frozen in the “How to redeem your points screen”. It asks if you want to use your reward points, takes you to the “how to use screen” and you can’t use your points or checkout. VERY frustrating. The are lucky I love the tea!
Have been a long time Harney customer. Love so many of their teas. Customer service is great and ordering on the website is pretty easy and smooth. This app on the other hand is a massive let down. For example. 1. Will not load most of the time. Have to close it and reopen it frequently while it's stuck on the company logo screen. 2. Has a habit of freezing from time to time. 3. Using customer loyalty points can be an issue. Sometimes they just don't transfer to a code. 4. The biggest issue I have... If I'm logged in on my Harney account on a browser and I place items in my cart I can not then open the app to finish the purchase. Even if I'm logged into the same account my cart is empty. This is annoying becuase sometimes I'm not near my phone but on my ipad or computer
I love the tea they make. Every one I’ve tried so far has been wonderful. The app though, is a bit prone to glitches. Someone spilled water into my London Fog tin and when I went to make some this afternoon, I found it full of mold. Gross. Nearly full tin, into the trash. I have some Scottish Afternoon on hand though, so made that instead. I went to order more tea and my Wishlist is empty. Shouldn’t be. The app says I’m logged in and it’s up to date. 🤷🏻 Then I added a few things to my cart. Went to check out. Cart’s empty. 🫣 Sigh. Worst come to worst, I’ll delete and reinstall the app. It’s slightly annoying having these issues nearly every time though. It would be great if they’d squash some of those bugs soon. This has been ongoing for months.
I love Harney & Son’s Teas. I really wanted to love the app too, but it doesn’t seem to be fully developed. It lagged and took awhile for each item I selected to load, so it made placing my order frustrating. I opened the website to compare experiences and the website is so much more efficient. The app is also missing a lot of information that the website has, so that’s also disappointing. I used the app to get the discount, so I guess it balanced out some, but the app needs a lot of work to match the user experience of the website.
I have tried and tried to add my shipping address to place an order. It will not save it. After entering my address and saving it, it doesn’t show up in my list of addresses. I have added favorites to my wishlist yet now when I open the app, my wishlist is empty, despite being logged in. Both of these are features that I would expect to work in any app. Please fix these as they have been broken for months.
It’s easier to browse the teas on the app but the items in the shopping cart tend to appear and disappear during checkout. If you go back twice it will double the amount in your cart. If you get to the point where you can submit the payment it just kind of hangs then returns to the cart page. I ended up going to the website and placing the order there.
