I have never seen a design as lazy as this app is. Product great software lacks. At least I have other app that I can us to stream from it or I would have sen ti t back.

The HDHomeRun app requires an HDHomeRun tuner to watch Live TV on your iPad, iPhone, or iPad Touch.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Compatible HDHomeRun device:
HDHomeRun CONNECT, EXTEND, EXPAND, or PRIME
Legacy model HDHomeRuns like the DUAL will support Live TV streaming; however, DVR is not supported.
• Reliable high speed Wi-Fi network
• iOS 11 or newer
FEATURES:
• Live TV (cable TV and over-the-air) viewing on your iPhone or iPad
• Pause/FF/RW support to live TV. DVR not required to use this feature.
• Supports HD channels
• Cable TV and OTA.
• No external player needed
• Fast Channel changes
• Intuitive UI and OSD to control closed caption, audio tracks, and zoom with a single tap
• What’s on now and what’s on next guide data
• Program images, show cards, and channel logos
• Program progress bar
• Consolidated list of channels (for user with both Cable and ATSC tuners).
• Does NOT require an always on computer
• Full 14 day guide data for DVR users / Non-DVR users get 24 hour guide data
* Guide data and images are officially licensed by Gracenote
* The HDHomeRun app does not work outside of your home network. Your iPhone or iPad must be connected to the same local network as your HDHomeRun tuner.

Can’t see local network.
This app doesn’t have the concept of local network access so it doesn’t ask for permission and it can’t be assigned in privacy and security. This app is non-functional on my new iPad mini for this reason.
App does not work
Just spent some good $$$ on this equipment and found out that the app does not work with IOS 18.1. Garbage.
Need fix for local network
Current version doesn’t show up in setting -> privacy & security -> local network
Stopped working
Shows no tuners connected to network. Latest update bug I believe.
No longer finding turner. Needs update
Needs update to iOS to allow connect to local network. Until thats fixed this app is DOA

Latest version of app can’t find tuner. Tuner working fine with Apple TV and fire tvs
Hardware is great, but get the Channels app instead
This is truly just an app review. I want to state clearly that I love my HD HomeRun hardware, but the app that Silicon Dust provides is poor. While I can watch OTA TV from my AppleTV with the HD HomeRun app, I can’t from my iPad or iPhone. Both mobile devices report that they can’t find the tuner. I suspect the difference is that the AppleTV uses wired Ethernet while the mobile devices use WiFi. Anyway, the Channels app found my tuner just fine across all platforms.
User Interface
While I’m glad this app exists, but the UI is very confusing. It really needs a redesign to be in alignment with every other streaming/tv interface.
Stopped working on my phone and TV
Used to work fine. Now it can’t find my tuner.
