Helvault - MTG Scanner

Es lohnt sich hier ein paar Euro zu investieren, die anderen Scanner die ich ausprobiert habe machen bei weitem nicht so einen guten Job. Momentan wird Grundstein (Deutsch) noch nicht supportet offenbar, aber das kommt sicher mit einem Update demnächst.

This is simply the best MTG scanner - and no subscription, unlike all the others I have tried. (Shortening my review, as Apple keeps blocking my review for unknown reasons.)

Especially with the dropping if the legacy baggage the app has improved by a lot. The export now directly spits out sqlite files which have a much cleaner structure then before. Also the developer is open to feedback and feature suggestions. The scanner just works and the sync works really good between my two devices. I do have a collection of 25+ k cards and everything works like a charm. I have some minor ux nitpicks when moving cards and the next button is not visible if i searched something, but that’s not worth to remove a star really happy with the makeover.

Kann doch nicht sein, dass man hier schon wieder zahlen soll. Einfache Geldgier, viel anders ist hier nichts genau genommen ist alles gleich wie bei der Legacy App. Ich bin gespannt wie lange die Legacy App noch stabil läuft. Eine Alternative muss her. Keine Empfehlung.

Why dont you just UPDATE your old App? Yeah, because you need those who already paid for the lifetime scanner to purchase again???? What a scam. Pls do not download this app until they think of their beforehand buyers and make it possible to recover the purchase of the last app.

I paid a lifetime license in Helvault now it’s called legacy. But hey there’s a new app with a new interface but you bought features won’t be transferred. Just drop this app and get another one. Disappointing and disgusting decision by a greedy company.

Deceptive “update” New app release calls old version “legacy” and forces repurchase of previously bought features. Greedy move!

The developer is trying to tell us that they don’t like subscriptions, so they will only charge a one time fee for specific features. But as I now found out, whenever they need more money, they simply make a new app and let you pay for that again. What kind of „one time“ fee is this supposed to be? If this happens every now and then, it’s basically the same as a subscription, only worse. Because you never know when they are going to decide to make a new app so you have to pay again. Very intransparent. I recommend using ManaBox instead. Offers better features and a transparent pricing model.

Instead of updating the old app they made a new app requiring everyone to buy the features they ALREADY paid for AGAIN !!!
