Through ground-breaking research in Positive Psychology, we have learned that rather than running away from misery, we should run toward happiness.
Doing 5 simple things each day will train your brain to think more positively about yourself and the world around you. As you develop these habits, you will learn to choose happiness each and every day.

1. GRATITUDE -- write down 3 new things you are grateful for
2. JOURNAL -- relive a positive experience from the day
3. EXERCISE -- increase endorphins and reduce stress
4. MEDITATION -- clear the clutter from your mind
5. ACTS of KINDNESS -- focus on someone else for a few minutes
Doing these 5 things consistently takes patience and persistence. High 5 gently reminds you throughout the day to do these 5 tasks and keeps track of your progress!

There is a link to his excellent TED Talk from a few years ago within the app, but I highly recommend reading the full book. It has changed my life, and I personally owe an immeasurable amount of happiness to the things I learn each time I read or listen to his books.

This is a great app. A streamlined efficient way to journal through the day and record meditation and exercise goals. The principles talked about by Shawn Achor are important and this removes much of the activation energy required. Thanks!!
