The historic sites on the self walking tour are available with audio histories given. You can begin your tour from anywhere by touching the red pin nearest you. They are located on the tour page of the app.
The tour can be approached either as a four-six hour tour or split into two days. There are 40-60 historic sites in each city. You can also enjoy the history at lunch or the comfort of your home.
You should be able to hear the audios easily but if you need your buds for your device it would help if there is traffic in the area.
You can also get information such as hours or menus about some of our local businesses.
Enjoy your walk back through history and share with your friends.

Thanks for your review on Monday. Yes, we did struggle with the strength of the device signal in getting the data on all the sites. The industry has fixed that problem and it keeps getting better. Jeff, President

This is really cool!

Using this app is really easy. Being able to walk around the city and listen to the history of the buildings and historic sites was awesome. I read some of the reviews from a few years back, and I can say from my experience, phone signals have gotten better because I had zero issues navigating and listening to the tours. Awesome app!!

Audio

The audio won’t work no way to contact the company for a refund.

Immediately deleted

Waste of download..you have to pay for every dot on the map.. just use Google maps to save some time and frustration

Not useful

Besides the map, which can be replaced by a number of free ones, we didn’t find this helpful. The information on the sights is very basic and not always correct. Better information can be found for free. The audio just reads the written information. The audio on the introduction page gives an app overview though so there’s no way to listen to the introduction to the city (which would be helpful for the drive). The customer service contact form in the app doesn't work so there is no support. Would not buy again and wish I hadn’t.

There and Back

I enjoyed using this app. I was able to find and get written and audibly dialog on so many historic places at Charleston,SC. Prior to getting the app I had spoken to the developer because I had read some adverse comments about the audio not working in the app. The developer was right there to answer my questions and was so helpful it was like speaking to an old friend. I had absolutely no trouble to use and understand the Walking Tour App. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get down and dirty by walking history not just taking a tour bus.

Great app.

We were able to explore and learn about the city we were at, on our own schedule. Fun way to walk around.

Don’t waste your money!

As others have mentioned, the audio doesn’t work.... just spent 45 mins of my vacation trying to get this straightened out. Save your precious vacation time and DONT BUY THIS APP. I’m guessing the 5 star reviews are phony reviews. (Attempted to contact site and got zero response, not wasting anymore time with this joke).

Do not buy this app!

I have been delighted with other audio tours I have purchased, but I found this app inefficient to use and eventually just referred to maps from the visitor center which were way better.

Great app

I get to walk around a city I love and learn about the historic backgrounds. Many horses are abused in the city I live in. I find this app extremely beneficial to create change! Easy to use and way cheaper than buying a long, drawn out tour on poor abused horses! Definitely a must-buy!!!
