Holland America Line Navigator

Все удобно и быстро. Но, после добавления события в Календарь приложение зависло. ((((

The app is super glitchy. We have a 10 day land and sea but on the 7 days of the sea part shows up - intermittently. We are stuck now without any visibility for our land hotel or airport transportation information and according to Holland support desk there is no support for fixing the app issues we are having. Nice looking app if worked.

So far impressed with all the friendly help and navigator is very helpful with internet connection and availability of programs.

I shall write a review later in the week.

Navigator app is the worst app. Nothing works.

The app functions mostly lead you out back to their website. We could not use it on the ship because we did not pay for an expensive Wi-Fi package. We had expected it to have downloaded PDFs of activities, menus, maps, etc. It is just as well to print out your boarding pass and luggage tags from their website before you leave. Even the chat function, we thought would work on board without Internet did not function for us either.

It’s almost like the app was written for a different platform, and iOS doesn’t interface with the app well. Several messages appear off screen, and I can only read them by tilting my phone landscape. I cannot add anything to my itinerary, but get a message that me reservation is pending (for free events, like the Sail Away party or nature talks). You can’t check in on the app, it brings you back to the website. You’re told to add your photo using the app, well you can’t do that. Overall the app is a real let down. I hope they deliver paper planners to my room every day.

They send you a survey after a shore excursion, but you cannot load it and fill it in. It says you can make dining reservations but all MDR are unavailable and Pinnacle Grill always does a lunch reservation no matter what time you pick. You still are unable to add your own activities to the daily planner. You cannot delete a message from the ship, it stays in your inbox forever. When you get a message, the badge never goes away. They say the app is a work in progress. Maybe after 4 years, if they weren’t outsourcing to the lowest bidder, they’d have a stable app that works!

Before we left for our cruise we got multiple emails telling us to download the app, only to find that it didn’t work once we were onboard. They need to hire better IT people. This is basic stuff. Very disappointed.

The app displays limited details, for limited days. Trying to find a source of truth amongst email, web pages, the app, and packets that”will be delivered during the journey, is impractical and unnecessarily complex for the passengers. HA’s end user support was unable to escalate and simply advised how I can look to the various data sources to find information.
