Honda My Generator

This generator performs according to its specifications and powers all of our chargers and appliances simultaneously. These include a 30amp house battery charger, a 600watt dehumidifier, a 1700watt coffee machine and our e-bike chargers. Under light loads it is very quiet and even when operating under high current demands it is not as loud as my previous GT Power 2kw generator when under full load. It has never failed to start with the first pull and there is no oil smoke when starting. It’s weight is near the limit for hand carrying so I use a small trolley when setting it up at a distance from our caravan. There are many cheaper alternatives and a lot with electric start, which I believe Honda should include at the price, but there is no denying that it is a high quality piece of kit that will last the distance.

I’ve owned the EU3200i for about a month and a half. This is the second time starting it. The first time I started it the app worked great!. When I started it this time the meter will not work. I can change it from volts to amps and amps to volts and it changes but the needle on the meter never moves. I see it has been updated since I last used it. BTW the generator is nice.

I recently purchased EU2200i Companion and EU2200i for my 5th wheel. Both generators are great. However, the Honda application not so much. I spent numerous frustrating hours trying to get a Bluetooth connection with my iPhone 15 and an iPad to no avail. Finally I tried to get a connection using my daughters android phone and it worked! After that I thought I’d give the iPhone another try and viola it finally connected. Had to do the same process with both generators. Not sure why that process was necessary, but it works fine now.

I have two Honda generators. Very nice but I cannot get the app to scan nor can I manually put in the serial numbers making the app effectively obsolete. Is anybody out there that could help me figure out why this app does not work for me? I have ran into the same problem over a couple of years, deleted the app, just put it back on and I'm still having the same problems. I have an iPhone Pro Max 14.

Honda is simply the best generator a homeowner can buy. Starts first pull every time and very quiet. I only use non ethanol 92 octane TruFuel. Great peace of mind for an outage.

The generator has excellent performance and features. This is a sophisticated machine. The app has some great features like visual display of the load. BUT the blue tooth connection quits randomly. Less than 20’ from the generator and the app disconnects. Any help from Honda app dev would be greatly appreciated?

Replaced a year old a-I power suitcase gen because of inability to get a small throttle cable lock or find anyone interested in servicing the generator. This Honda it super quiet and powerful enough to run a 12 k btu air I my fifth wheel camper. The old generator could never do that. This Honda can be monitored and shut off via the app on my phone. Pricey but worth it. Update: after less than two years this Honda has turned into a nightmare. Starter cord has snapped and engine would not crank. Over 200.00 spent at local dealer for one WEEK of run time then back to dealer for more “analysis “. Don’t waste your money on a good name when an “off brand” will work as well. I WAS WRONG!!

The Best Generator. I used it to run two AC 13000 btu in my trailer. Also run the Miller welder in 110V or 220V.

Wife and I have owned different Honda’s in our life from 1976 Goldwing total 8 Goldwing, current Honda 2023 CR-V and all have been awesome. I use the Honda EU3000i generator 10 yrs old and still going strong. I’m 71 yrs young and getting tired of lugging the EU3000i in and out of pickup but will keep it for a house standby unit. I just purchased a EU2200i companion and very pleased with the compact size and wattage to operate my RV. My camper operates on 12v except for the hot water tank and 15000btu air conditioner “with soft start” which operates just fine on the EU2200i without any issues. After the first start of the new EU2200w which took 5 pulls before starting the EU 2200i. Now it starts with one pull if shut down properly. This little unit is compact, quiet and will keep my rv powered and me happy. Better yet the wife happy!!!!! Thanks Heartland Honda in Springdale for great service and sales!
