I understand they need to sell ads to survive but to always have a full-screen ad when starting the app (I have a paid subscription) is absolutely repellant and I will boycott any business on it. I'd like my elderly mom to use the app but that ad is an absolute show-stopper for folks who are not used to technology. I'd rate the app zero stars because of it if Icould.

Convenient

I would rate it higher if it would work in landscape mode. Landscape mode is the view that works with the cover as a stand.

Thankfully we still have a wonderful working newspaper. Their stories are skillfully crafted and written. The app gives up to date news and information.

I like being able to download the print replica and read it offline. App updates regularly and news is kept current

We got no choice!

What’s up with the ads? Every time I open the app, an ad opens before I can read any articles. I get the app is “free”. But there is no mention of “in app” ads and the subscriber must pay for a subscription to the paper. So access to the app is not free. Neither the paper nor the developer will cop to the ads. But someone is selling ad time and it’s not me.

It goes with my coffee in the morning, sipping and reading.
