There are some great stories to read here, and I’ve yet to buy one that I regretted, especially since most allow you to try a section (ranging from a few chapters to longer sections) before buying. Most are a good length and easily replayable.

Love to read the stories. But after a couple of hours, I wish the app can have larger fonts in iPhone.

Alright so for a while I skipped on this app, however it’s free to download and even better there are a ton of free stories + each story lets you try it for free. Some have small portions and some others are pretty long before they make you buy the book. Try this app, and if you are into supernatural give Wayhaven a try and if you like a good mystery or you are very good at making connections try Evertree Inn. Happy ready~

The golden rose is one of the best, if not THE best, choice of games I’ve read. This is one that I had a hard time putting down. The romance was natural and it actually made me feel giddy. The NPCs were actually fleshed out and have their own interesting backgrounds. I found myself caring for them. The story itself as a whole left me wanting so much more of this world. Thank you for writing such a beautiful story. I can’t wait for the sequel!

I’ve been using this app for quite a few years and overall I love it! I’ve gotten many of the stories on here and am happy to be able to support the authors. That being said, the app has been restarting the books when I’m half way through them and that’s a bit annoying so hopefully it gets fixed soon.

It was like I was playing with a bunch of ten year old girls around me that didn’t know anything about a crime family. It was an absolutely terrible book and made 0 logical sense. Gaining money was impossible and when you did, you never earned enough to pay your bills. All the stat requirements require you to have perfection up to that point in that stat and you only get to choose one stat which means all your decisions are terrible. No matter what you choose, you always get the exact same storyline. It was the dumbest thing I have ever read and I read it twice so I could gauge exactly whether all my decisions would turn out the same terrible way. I earned double the money in the second game only to receive bills that are twice as high. Build up a certain stat only to have that stat never actually appear. Work up a good relationship with another character only to be forced into lowering them later on. After spending 4$ in this absolutely atrocious written choice book, I immediately deleted the app after the second time through. Even knowing the best decisions I could make, it still ended in absolute disaster the second time around as well. What kind of a game forces me into a relationship with a woman who’s parents I killed, then won’t allow me to keep my kids when she flees. No No No No No, this choice book had no choice at all, I was forced into doing everything I didn’t wanna do and would have never chosen to do.

Before this version, I would have rated Hosted Games 5 stars. I’m a long time player and have bought a good number of stories. However, since the arrival of the newest version, it’s no longer possible to imput text in text boxes when using Voice Over. I hope this bug will be fixed soon because it no longers allows me to save my games or choose the name I want when following a story.

I mean it, the platform is very well organized, I’ve never come into issues with purchasability, offline play, restoring progress or previously bought games, saved files for continuity with stories with multiple instalments. The stories themselves are very diverse & there IS something for everyone, this platform is dedicated to the user base & their own stories/works of writing & I’m very proud of Choice of Games for openly supporting such a under represented medium for artistic expression and play. Prices are also super worth it in my experience given that 2-3 years later I’m still replaying or re-reading most of my purchased titles since they’re usually That replayable. It doesn’t hurt that everything is available offline wherever you go after first loading each book :)

Good stories, some of them may be a bit overpriced for length/quality but generally happy and have purchased a few. Recently all my purchases disappeared off the app. I would also be interested in a subscription model if it was offered.
