HowToLucid: Lucid Dreaming Aid

i've been using this app for 6 months. i like it a lot for what i use it for. it has led to me recalling my dreams every night, sometimes i'll remember so many different dreams i struggle to write them down. i have had multiple lucid dreams in the timespan of having this app although that is not the reason why i use it. (i try to avoid lucid dreaming often.) my reasons for 3 stars rather than 5 are these: 1. when you write down your dreams they are not saved in chronological order by date. the months are chronological, but not the days of the months. 2. im not sure that this app permanently saves my dreams. i am going to record what i've written here elsewhere so i do not lose my catalogue of dreams. it would be nice if a login was provided or some sense of security to know that everything i've written down would not be lost per-say if my phone stopped working.

i wish i could log in on other devices / view my account information so i can't forget it. i don't want to lose the dreams i've written down if anything happens

I believe the timer has good potential to remind you to do dream sign checking. But setting up is really not intuitive and is buggy. I have reset the start and end times frequently and it always defaults to a strange start time of nearly 9:40 PM! Not only that, but if you select “Random 40 Times” for example, it will inevitably remind you 20-30 times within the first hour or two, rendering the whole interval pointless. This part of the app, which is what I sought the most, needs to be completely revamped.

I was really excited about this app until I discovered a problem in the code. I am unable to save any alerts and therefore can’t remind myself of reality checks which is the main feature of this app. Please fix this, the app would be great if this bug was fixed!

1) The app. does not have a dictation or recording tool for recording the voice rather than typing it. 2) The reality check alarms don't work. 3) If you change the app.'s background to "dark mode" it invariably after few hours changes to the light mode which is annoying in the middle of the night or early in the morning when you want to record your dreams.

The alarms that turn themselves off is so great for minimal movement and everything lucid dreaming in one place is so convenient! M

The “reality check” feature is very flawed. It worked for a day, but then not for the next. Also, if you set the reality checks to random, it doesn’t work at all.

Practical and wise. Has helped me with my meditation practice. Thanks so much 🖐
