HSK Chinese-English Dictionary

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone but I just downloaded the app and the pronunciation function is not working on my iPad. It is up to date and all. I tried pressing on "pronounce word", tried holding the tab as well as going to practice and pressing on the speaker but nothing worked. Other than that, I think the app is pretty helpful.

I’d tried learning mandarin off of duolingo (which I use for learning Latin-based languages) but it wasn’t working. A friend suggested HelloChinese and it is great! Best features (of free version) are: - you can control whether the pinyin shows (and even the color of font) - character writing practice - the listening exercises are recordings on the street with native speakers. You get to hear a lot of different accents

I am very honest, and I barely ever write reviews for apps. But this app will teach you chinese in almost every way. You will be taught how to correctly write characters with the correct stroke pattern, it will help you train your ear when listening to actual native speakers, and will help you remember words fast and easy. Ive only had this app for four days and I haven’t lost motivation at all! I always end up excited to come back and learn more chinese! I can now properly introduce myself, and also have a short greet and meet with others in chinese! I love how much you can learn for free! I will be recommending this app to friends. 5/5 stars easy!

Good app, better than duoLingo. No cap

This is the best Chinese language app I’ve tried. It’s quite helpful and effective even without the premium content.
