I never found out what this app was actually for, I deleted it after seeing an offer to grant access to contacts that pretended to be a system request from Apple.

I was hyped to try this app out after seeing demos on Twitter, but I can’t even give it a try without forcefully handing over my contacts. Sucks, guess I’ll never be able to try the app out!

There’s no way I’m agreeing to an app uploading the entirety of my contacts list to some random server. Especially so when Apple gives developers tools to maintain good contact privacy practices. Using dark patterns and a “Just trust us” explanation is neither clever or funny. How is this even GDPR-compliant?

It’s disappointing that to use this we’re forced to hand over all our contacts. Y’all don’t need the phone number of my dentist’s office…

No way I am giving my phone number and all of my contacts info to a random company. Can’t even get past onboarding without doing so.

No way to use the app unless you agree to give them access to data mine your contact list

Beware: you need three contacts whom you should be prepared to advertise/spam this app to in order to get in.
