iDML Lite allows you to preview layout of InDesign idml documents on iOS devices.
It shows layout, text content and embedded graphics. You can see the exact position of text frames and their content, position of graphic frames and linked objects. When the graphic is embedded in the document, it is shown in the preview.
This presents a useful way of reviewing document progress when on the move.
The stories in the document can be opened for reading, making the review more comfortable than in pdf. The app can get documents directly from your team's dropbox, making you up to date with the work progress at any moment.
Upgrade to full version, where the text in the document can be edited and saved is available.
The app contains neither InDesign's paragraph composer, nor advanced image processing tools. The preview will not reflect text position 1:1 with InDesign and some vector graphic attributes are simplified. PDF preview gives you more accuracy, iDML gives you a better idea about document composition.

Tut was es verspricht
Wie beschrieben, öffnet diese App IDML-Dateien. InDesign-Dateien können nicht geöffnet werden, da „.indd“ und nicht „.idml“ ! Diesen Unterschied sollten Leute, die schon Jahre und in der Branche arbeiten, kennen!
Not worth a cent
Für einen Viewer der funktionieren würde, auf iOS 12.3.1 Versuch eine InDesign Datei zu öffnen habe ich das Geld “ausgegeben”. Da aber die InDesign Datei noch nicht einmal als solche erkannt wird, schade das das die App nicht mittlerweile verbessert wurde. Somit gehört die nicht in den Appstore
Diese App tut nichts
Ich arbeite seit 20 Jahren in der Druckbranche. Und diese App ist mit Abstand die größte Geldverschwendung. Das einzigste was diese App macht ist, sie lässt sich starten. Sie öffnet keine meiner InDesign Dokumente oder stellt sie da. Das soetwas im AppStore zugelassen wird wundert mich. Einen Stern gebe ich nur, weil 0 nicht geht.
