iLightShow for Philips Hue

Thanks for making this app! I’ve been using it since 2019, and it’s just kept getting better. The perfect sync and awesome light show are the best way to unwind after a long day. Really appreciate this tool!

I really want to like this app, but it only support a very limited selection of songs. Almost every song I tried, regardless how popular it was, have no audio analytic data, that means the app won’t react to it at all. 我真的很想要喜歡這個應用，但它只支援極少數的歌曲。幾乎我試播的每一首歌曲，不論那首歌有多流行，都沒有音訊分析資料，代表此應用根本不會對音樂做出任何反應。

Literally bought LIFX bulbs because I heard this app lets them sync to YouTube music. Even advertises it does on the Android version’s description of this app - but I guess anyone with Apple is just screwed over from being able to sync with YouTube music. Unless you guys get YouTube music as an option on here y’all can kiss away my pro features payment.

I’ve tried them all. The microphone visualizers have improved over the years (including the feature in this app) but, there is still a tiny bit of noticeable latency and it annoys me to no end. The Apple Music integration is awesome. No visible lag between audio and visual. While we are mostly a Hue house, we do have some LIFX string outdoor lights. If I could sneak in one feature request ;) - is it possible to have groups of LEDs on the connected strands? Essentially allowing for multi-color for one beat, on the stand. Ex: 10 hue can lights I can group into 5 groups of 2. Anyone saying this is a “subscription scam” has zero clue the effort that has had to have been dedicated for this to work so well. 15+ years in mobile SW product development, first App Store review ever written. I don’t typically leave reviews but this app is really amazing. I have used it for years, usually around Christmas. I love jamming to some Christmas music with a light show and this app has always impressed. But this holiday season I logged in to find major updates. The paid subscription is reasonably priced and really does an amazing job syncing the lights to the music. I have pretty much played it non-stop for the last week. I love it! Thanks developer!

I really love this app and how awesome it makes my Hue lights sync to hot jamz. My only gripe is that it doesn’t seem to function super well if the app is isn’t currently open on your phone. If the developers made it easier to passively sync and made “standard” mode look better than a baseline Philips scene, then I would gladly grant it 5 starts.

I’ve tried lots of different Hue related apps for introducing a party atmosphere to my expensive home by far. This has been the app of choice even as I continue to experiment with others I find myself coming right back to ilightshow. The transformation is instantaneous. It is very accurate and it is a wild factor that everyone must have!

A paid app that doesn’t run in the nackground ? Not worth a dollar

The best music sync app I’ve tried! Worth every penny! Parties are gonna be so awesome. 😁
