IMO Car Wash UK

The app claims to offer discounts. But this ours only with bundles and not clearly advertised. Hard to operate the app and purchase.

I downloaded the app and bought into the free car wash after accumulating 6 stamps. Alas not. After I’d purchased and used my 6 stamps no free car wash appeared. When I enquired as to why, apparently there had been an app refresh and I only actually qualified for 1 stamp, the other 5 hadn’t been registered despite evidence with receipts etc. I’m not impressed.

I originally took out a monthly subscription in 2017, paid every month and it was great until anytime the details came of bank card change. It’s always been a faff as can never be done via the app. I’ve always had to request help from customer support. They now say they can’t update my account so will need to take out a new subscription. That’s significantly more cost and less benefits from what I previously had which entitled me to x12 washes per month. They clearly no longer want to honour those contracts. It’s so unprofessional and after years of being a loyal customer will be going elsewhere.

Shocking app, doesn’t work says that the mobile verification hasn’t worked and to resend a code but there isn’t a field to put a number into. Says you get a discount upon signing up but this is a false ploy for you to download the app. Staff at the car wash was rude. Didn’t know anything about the app and had a general lack of care. Eco car wash cost 6 pounds for a water wash and some rags at the end making your windscreen smeared.

Downloaded to be able to prepay for a wash. You can’t do that without creating an account, which I did, but the account can’t be verified without a mobile number. There was nowhere to add a mobile number on the set up form, just email. Totally pointless and deleted the app within 5 minutes.

I use this service all the time but forget to use the app and don’t get my rewards I must start to do this as it is great savings

This app will happily take your money and then take ages to give you the QR code for your wash. Sometimes it will take your money and not even give a code, or give one that mysteriously disappears before you can use it.

That’s what a wash at IMO means to my car.

Several menus and submenus and a whole list of variable memberships prices and addons and so on genuinely it’s hard to make this app worse and make it not wanting to use the service as so complicated. I dare anyone that actually uses the app to show me simply how to order a wash without wax one time
