Video call was glitchy
I’ve been working on a project for a couple years and I’m getting to a point where I can launch pretty soon. I sure could use some guidance from experienced successful people, and out of the blue, I see this ad about booking a call with successful people. I browsed through, found someone I wanted to talk to and booked. I just got off the phone call and I’m ecstatic. I got the answers I was looking for, and will definitely book a call with Sarah again. This is awesome!
There is so much knowledge and inspiration to be gained with this idea. I love when someone sees a need and fills it and that’s exactly what Intro has done here.
I scheduled a 30 minute meeting with Matt Higgins. The call was great, and Matt was very insightful and provided some meaningful advice. I definitely felt the value I received for the price I paid was a fair value exchange. Overall I really love the concept of INTRO. The concept is simple and beautiful. Most of us will never have the opportunity to book a face-to-face meeting with a top expert in a particular field. The INTRO app brings those experts to us (for a price) via video conference in a 1-on-1 setting Where else can you get video conference time with top experts. Each expert has a price that is set for their time which is booked in 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, etc time slots. The price is high, but it is about what I expected to get a meeting and time from a world class expert. Advice is to prepare before the call and share the two or three main things you want to discuss in advance so you can really maximize your time.
Before booking my session, I had read their website / app’s FAQs (“Can I cancel or rechedule my session?”) Their answer says that “yes… for any cancellations, or rescheduled within 48 hours of the session, we do charge a fee to compensate the expert for the last minute change.” I ended up canceling 3 days in advance and was charged a small administrative fee. This was not a big deal, but I wasn’t expecting it as their FAQ answer says “to compensate the expert for the last minute change,” and this wasn’t a last minute change — it was in advance of the 48 hour window. Reading their FAQ more closely, I see that it was a poorly constructed sentence and it is trying to convey that they’ll charge a cancellation fee. I then got an email with the text: “Will I get my money back? Yes…within 48 hours of canceling the session.” I didn’t read further because we’re all busy and trusted that the process would just make sense. I was frustrated to wait several days, realize I wasn’t refunded my $675, then have to go back to my cancellation email to see that later in the text it says you have to specifically request a refund by email (or else a credit just goes back to your account on the app). This was annoying since I wasn’t given an option to just get a refund to my card in the first place. The extra step of needing to email was enough to make me feel distrustful of the app and frustrated by the waste of time. My thought is that people who can afford $600-$1000 for a 1 hour session want to feel the company appreciates that their customer’s time is valuable. Consider improving the user experience (e.g., give the option for a card refund up front) and improve the clarity of FAQs so there are no surprises. If automatically crediting to the customer’s account is truly just for the convenience of rescheduling, make it transparent and actually convenient.
Just had an AMAZING first Intro call. I wish I would’ve known about this app when I started my first business - but hey… you live & you learn. I can’t believe that I get to hop on a “Facetime” with people that I have looked up to for years. I asked some really specific questions about a new business idea & got THE BEST feedback. It’s also given me a major confidence boost to just go for it. Thank you!!!
This is a service like no other. Getting 1 on 1 face time with popular celebrities and professionals incredible. Well worth it!
