Considering Logic for iPad Pro requires AUv3. I just purchased this and feel a bit burned by this app as it won’t run natively within Logic. How about an update ?

It’s a pity that such an amazing sounding synth has no auv3 option

Greetings! I discovered somewhat by accident after scratching my head about how to fix the horrible abrasive noise issues, with a lot of the presets, a way to get rid of the awful noise. Here's what I did and hopefully it will work for others encountering that problem as well. Firstly I use iProphet on an iPad 2 with iOS 9.3. What I did was go to the filter section on top and hit the button to open the filter choices. Then I chose band reject. After that I opened the keyboard control section on top of the keyboard. I went to the voice section and chose low. This appears to have worked very nicely and now I can enjoy the lush, complex sounds this synth can produce without that awful (only way to describe it) noise. I would be curious to know if this fix works for other people as well?

New review, a year later: What a pathetic waste of a beautiful opportunity. No progress on the issues described in original review, obvious it’s abandonware they shouldn’t be charging for. They shouod refund everyone who paid for this broken mess. Old review: Sounds great (when it works), looks good, but try hooking the iPad up to Logic (I mean, direct USB connection between iMac and iPad, using Apple’s iDAM MIDI capability) and sending it MIDI, and it goes haywire. This has to be fixed, it’s an inch away from useless without solid MIDI. It also needs velocity response and at least basic aftertouch support, to “match” the original hardware. The app has neither. C’mon Arturia. This is very unfairnto your customers, especially since they have been complaining about this since long before recent updates. If it isn’t fixed within the next few update cycles, you will have lost at least one (and probably many many more) customers.

My band does a lot of 80’s covers. I’ve been trying to get some of the really smooth 80’s string/pad sounds from other synth apps, but other synth apps can’t seem to pull it off. They often sound mediocre and cheap. iProphet has the sounds I want. Unfortunately, I am unable to use the app for various reasons. When I control it with a MIDI controller, it starts making awful crackling sounds. Also, there are a shocking lack of performance configuration options, such as key zones, velocity zones, a master transpose feature, etc. If you set a MIDI channel for the app, it doesn’t save the channel for future use, it resets back to “OMNI” every time. It also does not remember the last preset you had open. It always starts at the same default preset every time. It’s disappointing that Arturia does not pay as much attention to perfecting their iPad apps as they do their other products. I perform regular gigs and use various iPad apps, but the Arturia apps are too limited in configuration options for me to use live in a MIDI-heavy environment. Arturia should really look at the Korg iM1 app and see how it’s done.

I have three of the five classic synths made by Arturia and I enjoy using them very much ... when is the ARP 2600 or the Roland Jupiter going to be available in the iTunes Store ? If they were available they would be purchased, and with the 104 hour course to accompany them

No keyboard velocity for connected midi keyboard. Sustain pedal doesn't seem to work either. Some unprogrammed feedback after key release(sliding 3 fingers across keyboard will do this). Needs another update for full functionality and fixes. May want to wait for that before purchasing.
