Low number of kanji
Previously I want to say it’s mostly outstanding app for kanji studying. Cool-looking interface and content. But there are some issues with usability. First of all, on iPad cards are the same size as on iPhone. I want to practice in writing kanji on big screen, give me this space! Why can’t I use all my screen as writing field? It’s a little difficult to write all the complex details without a stylus. Secondly, I need more flexibility with creating custom lessons. I can’t see exactly which kanji is found with my search request and choose which I want to add to the lesson. Typical case is when I need to practice a number of exact kanji, so I want to add only those to my custom lesson. If you guys fix this issues, the app would be perfect for me ) And of course you will receive all 5 stars, but now it’s only 4.
I was really excited by the simplicity of the app and its design. And demo pics were quite awesome, but there is no pics after the purchase of the lessons, so you need to draw all the picture yourself or surf the net for the appropriate ones. That is not an option for people with poor drawing skills. Could you add "see shared pictures" so anyone could choose pictures among shared?
Awesome application for learning kanji with fun. And you won't feel lonely during it as there is sharing community, where you can see other people's pictures related to certain kanji. Real sound of the words is also a plus!
I came here to learn kanji but when I open the app I see a zoomed in picture of a textbook page, but such that you can only see half of the page. It doesn’t allow you to scrub across the page either. It does, however allow you to scroll down to what appears to be a child’s artwork, which is quite cute but not at all helpful for learning Japanese.
This demo version had me really excited, and I was ready to purchase the full version. Unfortunately 300 is not nearly enough for me. Bump it up to 2000 for the JLPT N1 and I’ll buy in a heartbeat. Also disappointing that I had to search comments to find out how many the paid version had to offer. This really ought to be on both the app presentation and at the point of purchase....
This app is very smooth. I’ve tried lots of Kanji apps and this one combines many elements to help you learn as fast as possible. I’m using it on an iPad and it’s smooth, fast, and intuitive to use. The only reason this app doesn’t have more reviews, is that unlike other apps, the developer doesn’t pester you for review. In fact the devs haven’t made it easy to get back here to the App Store to even leave a review! Some of the older reviews here complain about lack of customization and it seems to have been addressed. There’s tons of flexibility for customization. Note to developer: Your app deserves more reviews ... please add a button to leave you a review so you can get more reviews for this excellent app you’ve developed.
At first, the app worked fine; after 2 or 6 years of not being used, it closed the app when I clicked the MORE button. Plz fix the glitch.
Good user interface. No options to customize and limited on the amount of Kanji.
I was hoping that this app would allow me to make my own custom kanji list so that I could study what I'm learning in my class. But it does not allow you to do that. Seems like a simple thing to include, so I was surprised that it wasn't. This greatly reduces the app's usefulness to me. Otherwise, the design seems pretty good.
